Lodge was in a lovely condition and clean. The site is very quiet and peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful with advice on places to visit.
Myself and my 2 children stayed for a week in August. The lodges are lovely, very clean and has all you would want.
The staff are lovely and farm house do very good food.
The only negative is it's quite remote some people might find this a positive.
Had a lovely stay here with my 2 children (8/10) and my parents. Plenty of room in the lodge for all 6 of us.
Clean, comfortable and owners were very helpful.
Beautiful cabin and very helpful friendly staff. Would prefer a shower rather than bath but everything else great.
A beautiful lodge, and well worth the money. Tony, Les, Paul and Sammy were extremely helpful, with local knowledge and tips of where to visit, and any problems that may occur while you are there.
Lovely lodge lovely people!
An improvement would be an addition of a shower
Friendly staff. The lodge was really clean and well kept. Peaceful and quiet location. Would love to come.
Had a lovely holiday lovely surroundings, staff very friendly and helpful, convenient for the coast will hopefully return. Thank You
very clean and well equipped lodges. staff are attentive and helpful. shop on site and beautiful Lucy's Tearooms where we had a cooked breakfast every morning during our stay. crewkerne is close to many lovely places such as , montacute house, forde abbey, lyme regis, sherborne castle. The only thing I can say is a proper shower over the bath would be good! and it would be lovely to have access to either an indoor heated swimming pool on site or a hot-tub either individual use or communal use. After a day in the sunshine it would be great to cool down in a pool.
We had a lovely family holiday, the weather was with us, so spent the week on the beach. My husband and kids came back from the beach each day, then went fishing while I had peace and quite reading my book in the sunshine. They had a lovely little shop there that you could get the basics and a tea room if you didn't want to cook.
We had a really lovely stay at Oat hill Farm Lodges. The lodges were beautifully clean in side and very cosy. The owners very kindly gave us an extra bed in the 2nd room so that all our 3 children could be in the same room. They had also put age related duvet covers on all the beds which was a really nice thing to do.We stayed the week running up to Easter so our kiddies were really excited to find an Easter egg by each bed as well. We thought this was very thoughtful of the owners. The facilities in the lodge were great. The only critisisms I can think of were a shower would be nice but we were only staying 4 nights so managed without, and would be good if electric could be included in price as you were conscious of what electric you may be using hence we only used heater in lounge. The other thing we found to was that the on site shop wasn't always open when it was supposed to be. Hence meaning the day after we had travelled we had to go into the nearest town/village to get stuff for breakfast and then have a late breakfast as shop wasn't open, even though it was supposed to be. Over all though we had a really pleasant stay and would definitley stay again if in that area as was perfect for what we needed.
The area is lovely and quiet but not to far from the town. The lodge was clean and well kept and had great kitchen equipment. It really does need a proper shower, there is one in the camping shower block but I have paid to stay in a lodge. Although it says the facilities are open all year the shop wasn't open when we went.
The staff were helpful and friendly but a bit uptight about the children.
If you go when its cold the electricity really adds up - you have £15 included then you have to pay the rest. We were very conscious of the heating but still had to pay quite a bit and we only stayed three nights. It does take away the fun of a holiday having to worry about heating costs.
I really think the electric should be included in the holiday cost as its not a cheap lodge.
Beautiful cabin and surroundings
