Had a lovely few days at Canalside Cottage, lovely cottage and good location. Parking could be an issue if you have more than 1 car. The views of the viaduct will stay with us for a very long time. One negative we found is the hot tub, misleading not to mention that you have to go outside up the steps out of gate, in another gate to get to the room with the hot tub, paid the £40 extra for the use of it but never used it due to this and not having bath robes to put on.all in all I would 100% recommend the cottage just not the hot tub especially at this time of year

We have a general rule not to go to the same place twice, but this cottage will be the exception to that rule.

We stayed here for 5 nights just me and my Husband and I was extremely pleased with this cottage/house. It is spacious, large bedrooms, lounge, bathrooms, conservatory. It has so many extra’s tea, coffee, shampoo, shower gel, welcome bottle of wine. Every room is nicely decorated with lovely finishing touches, the kitchen is full with three ovens, hob, toaster, microwave, washing machine (with powder) the list is endless. I read a review which said the kitchen was cluttered. I call it homely. The garden is a treat with the wonderful view and rabbits and squirrels busing every day. The hot tub building is generous with a tv and lovely lighting. The house is just up the slope to the towpath where you can walk for miles, and quiet secluded. I will definitely be back and would recommend for a couple or at full capacity. So much thought has gone into this place down to the games and puzzles too.

A fantastic luxurious and spacious cottage in an amazing location with wonderful views across the Dee Valley and a short walk along the towpath to the famous aqueduct. Many other great places to see and loads of varied walks close by. Properly secure gardens are a real bonus for this pet-friendly accommodation!

Really good cottage, the views were even better than expected. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It was such a pleasure just being able to sit in the conservatory and watch the wildlife on the feeders in the garden, look out on the views and watch the trains going by on the viaduct. Very comfortable cottage and the hot tub a nice bonus.
