South Queensferry has a great array of good pubs and restaurants and offers boat trips around the islands in the Firth of Forth and views of the three bridges. Head north towards Stirling and Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park for iconic highland scenery and excellent hill walking. There are eight golf courses within 15 minutes and lovely country parks at Beecraigs and Polkemmet, or for some retail therapy visit the designer outlet in Livingston. Shop 2 miles, pub 3½ miles and restaurant 7 miles.
