With walking and cycling on the doorstep, this is an ideal location to explore the wonderful North Norfolk coastline complete with its wide sandy beaches, NT nature and bird reserves. There are pretty villages with a variety of shops and many excellent eating and drinking establishments scattered throughout the area. There is an award winning village pub located at the end of the 2-mile lane. The Georgian market town of Holt is 4 miles. The traditional seaside town of Sheringham, 6 miles, has a sandy beach, Splash leisure pool and Norfolk Steam Railway. Seaside resort of Cromer, 8 miles, for promenade garden, pier, zoo and town shopping centre. Historical locations and places of interest all within an hour’s drive include Sheringham Gardens, Felbrigg and Blickling Hall (both NT), Walsingham Shrine and Abbey ruins, Holkham Hall and beach. Shops 4 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Really relaxing area to visit made more so by The Stable

We loved the location, but the stable is dangerous and illegal. We had water running through the ceiling from the shower, which was located over the bath with no grab rail. The shower had no thermerstatic control it was just connected to the bath taps and if you are taller than 5' 5" you hit your head on a wood beam. It has a spirall polished wood stair case with no hand rail. The beams in the bedroom are so low at one side off the bed they are very dangerous. Please don't let this place to anyone that is over 5' 5" tall and not fit it is a death trap.

Much too small for 2 adults and 2 dogs. My husband didn't realise it was 2 story (his fault).
Downstairs is quite small and because we can't leave the dogs on their own as they like to go out at night, my husband ended up with a blow up bed so he could try and sleep downstairs. Not very
satisfactory for us.

The Stable is quite tiny but adequate and comfortable for two people. The owners were friendly and helpful. Milk, tea,coffee and biscuits available on arrival. Lots of local walks and places to visit nearby
We turned up had a look around and didn’t stay, nothing like on internet .It was not very clean anywhere especially bathroom , and bedroom smelt of dirty hair it was the bedding .No room for dogs ,and outside not private at all as other properties right on door step .sorry so negative but very disappointed.

Cosy cottage perfect for 1 or 2. Car parking a little muddy and some internal cleanliness issues. However for the money it was well kitted out, powerful shower, good heating system and friendly owners.

Enjoyed our stay in October would of liked some closer amenities but only a short drive to lots of places eg holt cromer and Sherrington.

I didn’t give the owner a chance to respond to these comments, however the washing machine, fridge, utensils were not clean, cobwebs and dust everywhere, shower is not user friendly unless you are 4 foot tall because the beam gets in the way, we used the hoover which was really smelly when using it, toilet moved when you sit on it, the bed is really uncomfortable and to top it all off we were without a TV for two days until the Ariel was replaced with a correct digital one, we will not return, we spoke to the other residents and they were all of the same opinion
