The very mention of Tuscany conjures up stunning images: rolling hills, terraced vineyards, olive groves, sunflower fields and cypress trees. This beautiful landscape is dotted with castles, palaces, churches and hilltop villages each with their own story to tell.
The renaissance wonders of Florence are easily reached from your Tuscany villa. From the majestic Duomo to the treasures of the Uffizi Gallery and masterpieces by Michelangelo, Florence is packed with cultural marvels. And there are hundreds of other historic towns and villages throughout to discover here. The medieval walled town of Lucca, the hilltop town of San Gimignano with its competing towers and Siena with its wonderful Piazza are all within easy reach of our Tuscan villas. Umbria too has some wonderful sights to offer, from the magnificent basilica at Assisi to the historic hilltop town of Orvieto.
This is also your chance to sample the delights of true Tuscan cuisine – another great reason to take a break in one of our Tuscany villas with pools. Pasta in this area is famed throughout Italy and even the tiniest village boasts a restaurant offering local specialities.
