    Superb accommodation and a high standard of cleanliness. The location is perfect, with everything you need right on the doorstep. Parking/unparking was a pain but otherwise, everything was good. (Tip, bring a bathsheet as towels are good but not large enough!)

    Great location right in the heart of Ambleside. Well furnished and well equipped house, the basement bedroom was bigger than i was expecting. Due to the problems with parking issues, we decided not to risk it and paid for parking at nearby car park which was just as well as on three occasions when we returned to house, the way to the house was blocked by large car/SUV! The only other problem was the loud noise every time the shower was on or toilet was flushed especially in basement bathroom - it was so bad we did not dare flush the toilet at night in case it woke up the town! But we enjoyed our stay, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Climbed Wansell and walked to Sweden bridge. Enjoyed meals at The old Stamp restaurant and lucy's on a plate and Matthews Bistro.

    Enjoyed our stay here. A nice comfortable flat, split over 2 levels, with 1 bedroom and bathroom being down in what I can only imagine was the old cellar. Well appointed upstairs with a washing machine too, which was invaluable if you do lots of fellside walking like we do. The road and pavement is immediately outside the front window, so you do get some noise from traffic and pedestrians, but as with most Lake District towns the roads and foot traffic drastically reduce as the evening wears on

    good location for amenities like shops restaurants and public transport. Pleasant ambience in cottage so felt relaxing and television had clever system which my husband figured out successfully to enable brilliant reception all channels-------linked in to smart phone with code. Only two in our party although cottage would accommodate four comfortably. The only difficulty might occur if the occupants do a lot of self catering (which we did) as seating around the table not very spacious although there are four dining chairs. We did not use the bench outside as it was sunny early morning and we were going out then. No sun on bench later in day as in shade.

    Tidy cottage ideal for family and room for 2 children downstairs in the converted cellar! We’ve stayed here 3 times now. Excellent location, and nicely tucked away behind Easedale Lodge. Chinese and local bakers just next door. A few minor points: Could do with some new tiles on the kitchen floor, as some are cracked, sharp and loose. Extractor fan in the main en-suite very noisy.
