Fancy having a break with a spot of fishing, our lodges tick all the boxes. From family-friendly to romantic breaks for 2 our Leicestershire lodges deliver.
If you want to witness history come alive then take a visit to the Battle of Bosworth Field, where King Richard III fought for his crown and lost his life. The interactive display helps bring this journey to life as you travel through medieval England and witness the Battle Room. There is also the opportunity to try on a suit of armour and try your hand at shooting a longbow (thankfully interactively!)
If you fancy a walk with a difference then take a hike out to Beacon Hill County Park where you can see chainsaw wood sculptures that have been placed along the trail. There are 3m long flower benches, a comedy sheep duo and a 2.5m high face, nicknamed Rock Face, plus other large sculptures to find as you wander amongst beautiful countryside. The city of Leicester pulsates with cultural vibrancy, boasting a thriving arts scene, diverse culinary offerings, and a rich multicultural heritage. Explore the bustling markets, indulge in world cuisines, or catch a performance at the Curve Theatre.
If you need an excuse to get out into nature with all the family, then head over to Wistow Maze. This large sunflower maze changes shape every year, previous shapes have been a dinosaur, a space rocket and an astronaut! There are also 12 quiz boards hidden among the 3 miles of twists and turns, along with 10-foot-high bridges and towers to climb! You can enter the maze as many times as you wish, and when you have exhausted the little ones then head off and explore the shops, cafes and galleries nearby.
