Achabeg is a thoughtfully designed, ultra modern cottage which maximises the natural light and amazing views. It is set in a truly tranquil, peaceful and unspoiled location. If you really want to get away from it all & relax, in a 5 star location with dark skies, fabulous views and resident badgers, bats and a plethora of other wildlife then book this cottage. I cannot recommend the cottage highly enough.

The cottage was stunning with a very high standard of cleanliness. The complimentary bag of goodies was also a nice touch. A week of luxury!

if you want a luxurious holiday in splendid isolation amid breathtaking coastal scenery, then Achabeg is the place for you. There is no need to go anywhere, just get out the Explorer map provided and take it from there. History looks you in the face everywhere. And wild life. A place to come back to again and again.

Our stay at Achabeg couldn't have been any better. The house is beautiful & surrounded by wonderful countryside. If you are looking for a quiet retreat then this is definitely the place to go. Achabeg is very well fitted out & to a very high standard. There is nothing that you wanted for apart from a little more sunshine but that's Scotland for you :-). I would definitely recommend staying here if you want long walks, peace & quiet & beautiful scenery. The wildlife is in abundance & we even had a visit from the local badger. All in all we just didn't want to leave & could have made ourselves content living there permanently very easily. The owner was also very helpful & kept in touch to ensure we had a great holiday. 10/10 for everything.

Fantastic house - definitely has the WOW factor. Set in beautiful gardens and in a lovely part of Scotland. Quiet and secluded, allowing your batteries to be recharged by just listening to the birds. enjoyes visits from the badger at night who just loved peanut butter sandwiches! Definitely recommend ☺

Beautiful house and setting for those who want to get away from it all. Unfortunately couldn't use the outdoor areas cause of typical Scottish weather. I dont want to say too much or i might not be able to get booked in again.

Perfection! The cottage is stunning. Everything you could possibly need is already there and it's spotlessly clean. Views over Loch Sween, on which we saw deer, red squirrel, and seals. Can not recommend Achabeg enough, we have found our perfect stay!

What a beautiful cottage - clean, well decorated, comfortable, cosy and warm with plenty of light and space. Achabeg is definitely the place to go if you want peace and relaxation. We found at this cottage we just wanted to stay in and enjoy the wonderful views and watch the dozens of birds that visited the garden every day. At night it was a joy to watch the badger and pine marten in the garden. They both ate peanuts and bread and jam, however, the pine marten would not eat his crusts!! The cottage and surrounding area is 10/10. Thank you Jon and Tracey for a wonderful holiday

This is the second year we have stayed at Achabeg. This year it has been recently decorated by the new owners, making it even more comfortable and welcoming. Achabeg is in a quite and lovely area making it a beautiful place to relax and unwind. While we there this year we have seen Pine Martins, Red Squirrel, a Fox, Eagles, Buzzards and a great many smaller birds including Bramblings. We have enjoyed our two weeks holiday there so much that we have already booked it again for next year an we can not wait for that time to arrive.

A little gem hidden away in the backwaters of a beautiful part of Scotland. A fantastic cottage full of home comforts with a huge enclosed garden for our dog. The panoramic views from the lounge/dinning room (in all weathers) were quite mesmerising. It’s a place to enjoy in all four seasons and hopefully we will return to do just that.

Overall, excellent cottage and location. General cleanliness could be improved (e.g. fridge/freezer not clean). Some floors not clean. Kitchen amenities could be improved with provision of a teapot and utensils such as steak knives. More outdoor tables would be useful and should provide ax to cut wood for wood burner.
