Nice hot tub, owner was on hand to help and deal with any issues, kitchen was not as well equiped as other holiday cottages we have stayed. Great location with amazing views from the hot tub during the day and on a clear night there are so many stars visable. The property could do with a information pack as we were unsure what to do with rubbish etc

Arrived at the cottage that had not been cleaned after the previous visitors, and no heating. This was rectified after numerous phone calls and apologies. Hot tub situated at the backside of the cottage with no easy access from the house, so a long walk from the door to the hot tub, not ideal. Cottage sleeps 8 however only 3 chairs with the outside furniture , again not ideal.

We picked this cottage because it's hot tub. However when we arrived there was no water in the hot tub .... This cottage is in need of TCL . There had been no heating on for about a month boy did we know that it took until the next day for the house to properly heat up . The water pressure is also an issue in the upstairs bathrooms if you can get the water to go hot . We had the worst time ever if it was not the case we had 3 grandchildren with us I would have gone home within the first 10 mins of entering the house I could not do that to the kids they had been super excited for this trip in all it was really disappointing.

We had a brilliant time, the cottage was quite rural but that was even better for us. Couldn’t not fault it at all. No one bothered us all weekend but we’re on hand if we needed anything sorted .

Other than under the couches being unhovered, the place was amazing! Had a great time and I have already suggested to many people they should get it booked as I know I would definitely (and hopefully will) go back!

Lovely break away with the family (2 adults, 3 boys and 2 rough collies). Definite pluses include: great hot tub, clean (although did find a used grill pan in the oven), massive fridge/freezer, on Asda delivery route, simple grey deco throughout, 2 chill-out rooms with large TVs (kids now saying that we need to get a bigger one!) and separate dining room, really comfy sofas and decent sized enclosed garden to let dogs out, oh and the washing machine and dryer were also great to use!!. Minor minuses include: the lack of coat hooks at the door and a mat for wet peoples coming in from the hot tub (although we used the many dog towels that I had brought with us) and the lack of paths for walking close to the house. We cycled to the Abbey on the road but it wasn't ideal for the dogs. The gate didn't close properly but wasn't a problem for us. And walks also weren't a problem as the Galloway forest Park and beaches were reachable by car (20 mins).

We had an amazing week at Kelbrook cottage!! Amazing space for a cosy get together with friends. Stargazing in the hot tub at night then inside to chill in front of an open fire. All the home comforts you need provided. Would love to return next year!!

We loved this property and the location, as did our dogs. Be aware that the ‘enclosed garden’ isn’t dog proof! Lovely property, cleanliness could have been better as we found previous people’s property in drawers, but generally it was clean. Big hot tub with sweeping views of the valley toward Glenluce Abbey. Never met the owners, not a bad thing as we had complete privacy! All in we had a great stay here and we would recommended this cottage and the surrounding area for a relaxing holiday in a wonderful area.
