On the ground floor is an open plan living space. The double bedroom on the first floor boasts en-suite facilities. The owners having lovingly restored the cottage to a fantastic standard, with original stone floors throughout the ground floor, keeping the traditional farm cottage style. Exposed wooden floors run throughout the first floor, where you can enjoy lovely views over rolling fields and open countryside of this working beef and sheep farm. Outside, there is a large enclosed garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture, ideal for dining al fresco, morning coffees and overall relaxing and enjoying the fresh air.
Set at the foot of the stunning Eden Valley, there are endless walks of all types and quiet country lanes to cycle, all available from your doorstep. Situated evenly between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, this is a scenic haven. The nearby market town of Kirkby Stephen, 6 miles, has an abundance of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. It is also home to a Heritage railway station, where you can enjoy a lovely scenic trip on the historic Carlisle - Settle line. The market town of Kendal, 20 miles, is known as the ‘gateway to the southern Lake District’, and perfect to have a day on one of the famous Windermere cruises. Walkers can tackle the quieter Howgill Fells, a day on these tops can be considerably less busy but equally just as spectacular for views.
