The area has a rich history and the ancient city of Stirling is just 25 miles away with its famous castle, Wallace Monument and Bannockburn Visitor Centre, along with many historic links to people such as Rob Roy Macgregor, William Wallace and Mary Queen of Scots, all of whom had a part to play in the history of this area. For a day out for all the family and only 6 miles away, Loch Lomond’s shore is well worth a visit with designer shopping, great places to eat, outdoor activities, the Sea Life Aquarium and regular events throughout the year.
