Gloriously situated right on the waterfront with views over the Menai Strait across to the mountains of Snowdonia, Bank House is a spacious, terraced, late Georgian Grade II listed property, in the heart of the pretty town of Beaumaris. The living room is a great place to sit and watch the world go by, looking out at the splendid views. From the front door you simply cross the road and you’re by the sea! Children will love crabbing from the nearby pier, or indeed taking a boat trip to Puffin Island, whilst there are many individual shops to browse. Mighty Beaumaris Castle (a World Heritage Site) is well worth a visit, together with the gaol and courthouse. There is a wide choice of excellent hotels, restaurants, cafes and the Red Boat Ice Cream shop, all within walking distance. Further afield is the impressive Plas Newydd (National Trust), home of Lady Anglesey, whilst children will love visiting Foel Farm Park in nearby Brynsiencyn. Of course, it is only a short distance back over the bridges to the mainland to the beautiful Snowdonia National Park with its wonderful scenery and pretty villages. Beach 25 yards. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Great house and location. Only a couple of niggles. Biggest is the one set of keys for such a large house and multiple families. Towels could be larger. But really not enough of a niggle to worry about.

Lovely position well equipped for 9 people we had enough room and did not feel cramped. However we do feel the property would benefit from some modernisation and another toilet. The top floor was jaded including the bedding the sheet and mattress cover on one of the double beds was too small. The blinds were useless and would be a real problem in the summer with lighter nights and mornings. The flooring in the en-suite needs replacing. A light in the understairs cupboard with some coat hooks would be useful. The timing on the hall and stairs was too short by the time you’d got downstairs the light had gone out. A outside light at the back of the property would be helpful as it is very dark out there. Another set of keys would also be useful as we had two families
