Absolutely fantastic. Would definitely highly recommend. The countryside is stunning. We'll worth a trip. England is definitely God's country, visit and book this wonderful cottage. You won't be disappointed!!

Lovely, unusual holiday accommodation. Well thought out interior. Great for exploring the Hadrian's Wall and South Tyne Valley area of Northumberland and easy access via the trains to the cities of Carlisle and Newcastle.

The only reason for not giving a higher score for equipment and amenities is that this was an early "post-lockdown" booking and the owners had to limit some equipment, and some of the local businesses were restricted. We would certainly book this cottage again; it was spacious and very clean and the owners made a real effort in making the stay enjoyable.

Our second visit to Bardon Mill. Once again, it was a delight to stary in this rather special location, alongside the railway line. The cottage itself is very spacious, light and well appointed. Bardon Mill is only 2 miles from the Roman Wall, including Vindolanda and Housesteads. Hexham was in easy reach. This is a great place and we will return again.

Another great stay at the Waiting Room, always a warm welcome (lovely fruit cake) and in a great location for Hadrian's Wall. Would definitely recommend 

Absolutely wonderful place. The cottage was spotless, tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable. We had wine and a delicious fruit cake waiting for us when arrived, and the hosts are lovely, but not intrusive. I thought I might not like the train noise but I actually loved it. We found it a magical sort of place. 5*
