Spent 4 fabulous nights here. The cottage is very well equipped in a tranquil location. We were greeted with wine and homemade cake which was a lovely gesture. There are so many historical sites to explore in the area. Can only hope we manage to visit again.

The cottage was ideal with everything we needed.Local shop stocked essentials.Lovely walks straight from the door.Loved watching the trains going past and they didn’t bother us at all and added to the pleasure of staying at the Waiting room.Only downside was lack of garden for the dog to run around .Overall a lovely cottage.Would recommend.

Accommodation is clean and well presented and the owners very pleasant. Our stay was spoiled however by ongoing overnight work to the adjacent railway platform which took place on 3 of our 4 night stay. The main bathroom would benefit from a shower screen being fitted as without such the shower is effectively useless other than for rinsing the bath out. This was mentioned 4 years ago after our last visit! Local people are friendly and following its recent refurbishment, the village pub is a pleasant place to spend time.
