We booked Barn End Cottage because we wanted somewhere to totally relax, walk, read, dark nights for star gazing and be in the countryside of the Peak District. Barn end gave us all that and more. The owners are lovely, and could not have been more helpful, and very welcoming. The cottage is everything other reviews say it is. Very well equipped, very cosy and warm and we loved the cathedral like stone steps to the bedrooms. We didn’t get the best of weather as it was January but it was very relaxing and well worth the price, we would love to book again to see it in summer.

I've been meaning to leave a review for a long time and this lockdown has given me a moment to do so. We stayed at Barn End Cottage over New Year and couldn't have been happier or more impressed with the accommodation. It was a beautiful place in an amazing location, well equipped and very warm. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful (we needed their help at one point and were blown away by their kindness) but were not imposing at all. We would absolutely stay there again and hope to one day as they were so well located for the Peak District. They also welcomed our dog. Thank you so much for an outstanding stay.

A very comfortable and cosy cottage with a well equipped kitchen. Convenient for trips to local attractions.

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Large and comfortable, extremely well equipped, very clean, everything you could possibly want. In a beautiful setting, with lovely views. Owners were very welcoming, but left you to enjoy your holiday after passing on some information. Definitely would return again.

A well designed barn conversion with lovely views. Ideal for walkers and dog owners. Well equipped and very clean. Owners very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to friends.

This was our 3rd stay at Barn End Cottage and I’m sure it won’t be the last. The cottage had everything you could need and it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the Peak District and the view from the cottage is just beautiful. We could have spent the week sat in the cottage looking out at the lovely views. We had a great holiday here and were fortunate to have glorious sunshine all week. A perfect week in a perfect cottage.

Barn end cottage was the ideal place to come back to, very cosy and relaxing ideally situated for touring/visiting the area. A beautiful location with breathtaking views. The owners who live next door were very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive in anyway. We had to end our stay early because of a sick cat at home and were very disappointed to leave as we were having such a great time.
