Owners made us feel very welcome. Easy distance to Matlock. Milk and biscuits on arrival much appreciated. Will certainly try to come back again.

Brilliant place to get away from it all with family and friends. Excellent location to use as a base for visiting the many local attractions.

lovely cottage in a great location for chatsworth, bakewell and matlock ...spotlessly clean and fun being on the farm...only issue for us was other guests children upstairs who I don't think realised our bedroom was underneath theres...some carpet may help but they were much quieter and mindful of the noise when we politely pointed out we were underneath them

Wonderful little cottage. We would have liked WIFI and a bath (for the kids), but actually quite enjoyed the time away from the internet! Really enjoyed our stay, and the kids loved the farm animals

The only word of warning was the road at the bottom of the farm track. It was much too dangerous to walk down. There was no footpath and on a blind bend, it was also very busy with traffic. Because of this we took the he car every time for our safety.

Very nice cottage,we had an enjoyable 4 days in barn owl cottage.Wendy showed us around,on arrival, and left us to do our own thing, just how I like it. The cottage was very warm, and comfortable, and within easy access to main routes. I did some cycling, and enjoyed the routes, and hills around Cromford. The climb back up to the cottage tested me after a few miles around the peaks. I will be returning all 3 of us,thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Lovely location, well equipped and friendly owners. The cottage was very clean and the tea biscuits and milk supplied was a very welcome start to our holiday. The cottage was warm and cosy and within easy walking distance of Cromford.

Very nice cottage in a lovely location with access to a lot of things to do. Only fault was the mattresses were a little tired and soft, otherwise a well equipped cottage.

Following a warm welcome from Wendy, we found our cottage was cosy, spotlessly clean and well equipped, including milk and biscuits. Ideal place to stay with a dog. The only downside from our two teenage boys perspective was that there was no wi-fi. Didn't bother Mum and Dad! Lovely area, good walks from the door step, although there is a short distance along the road into Cromford with no pavement . Good places to eat out in Cromford and Matlock bath. Over all we had a great holiday, and would definitely stay again.

A very spacious, cosy cottage in an excellent location for exploring the beautiful surrounding area. We took our little boy and he absolutely loved every minute on the farm, and spent lots of time with the animals. He even got to see some tiny lambs. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and the cottage had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

The cottage is very nice, includes everything needed and in a lovely area. The owners were very friendly and helpful and being on the farm was great fun, being invited to go and see the animals was great for the kids. The walk down in to the village was not bad at all, one stretch without pavement on a narrow, but fairly quiet road, but was not really an issue. Easy reach of the train station and lovely walk along the canal and area. The village pub, the Boat House Inn was great, friendly land lady and other customers and dog friendly. Would definitely recommend!

A really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere set in a beautiful area. The cottage itself is very cosy and comfortable and was perfect for a short break over Christmas. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and the local area is amazing. Really suitable for our Springer Spaniel too. Perfect for what we wanted, just to get away from it all and relax somewhere different over Christmas. The area has a lot of visitor attractions and we would go back to this cottage again in the summer as it is a perfect place to get out and explore.
