The cottage was comfortable for two but would be cramped for 4 adults. Having a shower fully inside a bedroom was rather unusual - could make the room damp although we didn't use either the shower or this bedroom. The downstairs toilet had a notice requiring the use of only minimal toilet paper to avoid the risk of a blocked drain. There were only 3 table knives in the kitchen. The cottage is very close to the sea which we liked and there were good birdwatching opportunities from the upstairs lounge. Car-parking is described as room for 2 cars but this would be very tight - fine for one car. No outside storage under cover for bikes.

Ben View is situated facing the loch, the view is stunning.. Gairloch is an amazing Highland village we loved our stay there.. We visited the Badachro Inn for lunch.. food is delicious.. Redpoint Beach is stunning, Inverewe Gardens, Poolewe.. The Russian Museum at Aultbea is worth a visit.. The Old Inn Gairloch is another fab lunch stop.. our only dissapointment was the Gairloch Museum which was closed but due to open again in July 9th by Princess Anne, would have loved that and the Gairloch Highland Games due soon as well.. Ben View cottage has everything you need beautiful cottage.. has all the shops from general store, butcher's, book shop, cafe and hotel for wee dram round the corner from the cottage and the people are so helpfull and friendly.. would like to thank Babs from Port Henderson who invited us in for tea and helped my friend who was researching his Ancestors a lovely lady.. thank you Gairloch.
