Lovely cottage in quiet location. Close to beaches and both bridges. Cottage had all essentials and both rooms being ensuite is fab. Would recommend!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. When we booked the cottage we had a short list of cottages and choose this one because of the good reviews. There are three connected cottages on the site and we stayed in number one. I can only assume that the other cottages were much better than ours, hence the good reviews.
The beds were really uncomfortable. The double bed was too hard, and the two single beds had cheap mattresses, which gave no support. We ended up sleeping on top of the duvets on the single beds under a throw.
I went to use the frying pan on the first morning and it had been put away unwashed and had grease in the bottom. I found a clump of hair in the kitchen sink from a previous visitor so the sink hadn't been cleaned before our arrival. There were numerous dog hairs on the cushions and on the floor. There was only one plate without a chip and the knives and forks and bread knife were poor quality. The toilet brushes were disgusting and wanted condemning. I could continue but basically the cottage needs a good clean, and the items I've mentioned need replacing.
It wouldn't take much to get this cottage in order and make it a lovely place to stay. We had great expectations but were so disappointed.

Our Third visit.
That was our 6th stay at black horse cottage but the 1st at this cottage ,it wasn't clean most of the kitchen equipment needs replacing ,it was lost some of small niggles ,the toaster didn't fit the bread ,the dinner plates had chips on them the sharp knives didn't cut through anything the cutlery was useless and so on .
The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely ,clean and comfortable .
Beautiful little cottage in a quite, tranquil location. Clean, well kept and well equipped. The owners are a delightful couple who couldn't do enough to help. The washing machine broke while we were there, less that 24 hours later we had a replacement fitted and working. Excellent service!! This was our fourth visit and it definitely won't be our last!
Would definitely revisit black horse cottages

Really enjoyed our short time there The only problem was it wasn't long enough.
Will definitely go again
This holiday let was every thing we needed for a much needed break. It is situated in a lovely part of Anglesey which is easily accessible to the main road to travel around the island. The cottage is in a quiet area with farm land around it. We found it very clean, cosy and with comfortable beds. The owners, who live nearby, are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely consider going back for another holiday there.
We absolutely loved our time here. The electric company had scheduled works which meant we had a power cut and the Owner cake over beforehand with some battery operated lighting. The owner was so lovely. We had everything we needed and the owner kindly left us some milk. The facilities were great and our two cocker spaniels settled in straight away. We will be coming back soon as it’s 10/10 in every way for us and the location was also great for everything.
Lovely cottage, warm and comfortable. Owners very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Ideal base for exploring Anglesey. Beaches nearby.
The cottage was in a nice quiet location, comfortable beds, two bathrooms which was very useful, all on one level no awkward stairs to negotiate, good sized tv which I find important , nice and warm, yes I would stay here again definitely, the owners were friendly, but not intrusive, Mr
Parry gave me a lead for my dog as I had left mine at home very kind, we also enjoyed the wild life in the area, lots of pheasants running around, and the speciality was seeing 2 red squirrels in the Dingle at Llangefni and one rooting in the leaves down a quiet lane near the cottage, the Panton Arms local pub does a nice meal, but beware of the bellypork my husband had a huge lump of fat on his plate which was a shame as the 2 other meals we had there were lovely, lots to see and do in the area without driving too far, Benllech beach lovely for walking dog, you can walk to red wharf bay when tides out, recommend the fish and chip, shop by tescoes, lovely staff good food reasonable priced
This is the second stay at this cottage it is so lovely & warm & cosy & would definitely recommend it
