This delightful property, lying within Ambleside’s conservation area, sits on the original road into the village. Its slightly elevated position provides lovely views across the village to Loughrigg Fell and the more distant Coniston and Fairfield ranges. The ideal base for a relaxed, sociable holiday in the very heart of the Lakes, Bramblebank has ample parking, a lovely enclosed garden and views from most windows tempting even the most wary of walkers to enjoy some wonderful walks from the door. Or alternately, within a couple of minutes, you can be in the middle of a lively, ’out-doorsy’, yet fashionable village, with its wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as three cinemas, tennis courts, mini golf, Hayes Garden Centre and the excellent children’s play area in Rothay Park. Beautiful Lake Windermere, only half a mile to the south, offers various boating options and the famous steamers for trips out to Wray Castle (National Trust), Brockhole Visitor Centre or further afield to Bowness.
Bramblebank is a very stylish and well-presented property and being set over three floors, with a balcony with seating and extensive fell views towards Nab Scar, Heron Pike, Loughrigg Fell and the more distant Wetherlam, it offers flexible accommodation for the larger party. Equally however, the house would be ideal for a smaller party who want simply to spread out and access to the rear gardens is from the half landing. One of the bedrooms on the first floor has a window seat providing extensive views towards the South Lakes and the Coniston fells. A neutral theme throughout Bramblebank has been cleverly dressed with co-ordinated colours and comfortable furniture to continue the contemporary styling and to provide calm, peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing holiday. The spacious, well-equipped kitchen/dining room is a great social area for guests to enjoy and ensures that hard working chefs can join in with re-living the day’s highlights and adventures, and the planning of the next day’s activities.
