We had a lovely stay here. Kitchen is very well equipped. Warm with lovely wood burning stove for what was a cold February stay with some snow. Great local walks in Grizedale and the surrounding area, including some straight from the cottage. Very good for our dogs, secure garden.

The cottage is in a very secluded location but has excellant walks and bike rides straight from the door. I have stayed in the cottage twice before but this was over four years ago and I now feel that it needs a thorough clean, decoration and some refurbishment. On arrival a very strong smell of damp throughout the downstairs and the downstairs shower was unusable due to poor drainage and hair blocking the pipes. The games shed is in a very poor state now and needs a thorough clean. Lovely location but not worth the money

Comfortable and well equipped cottage in a lovely location. Very close to Grizedale forest visitor centre, local pub very busy, and there is no village shop. Garden mostly on a steep slope, one small level area which was suitable for young children to play on.

Lovely location next to woodland walks and cycle paths. The kitchen is very well equipped and the house very comfortable. The gardens are large and pretty with good views from the terrace and is fenced. The local village is very pretty and has a pub which has good food. It is a secluded and quiet spot which we really enjoyed but it is a drive to shops etc
