The location was beautiful with gorgeous views. The property was immaculate and well maintained and there was everything we needed and more. It was a lovely base for visiting the Shropshire countryside and am sure we will return in the future.

This is a great little cottage in (very) rural Shropshire. The upstairs, with its sloped roof and beams, is something you have to get used to but even then, all of us banged our head badly at least once.

Great place to stay but the narrow country lanes made it a tricky drive and very muddy for our dog. However, it wouldn't put me off coming again. Lovely quirky cottage which is what we always look for, very clean too.

Excellent cottage views are amazing church Sutton lovely quiet ! Iron ridge worth a visit. Roads can be challenging around the cottage would go back again

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location with wonderful views. The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating, ably assisted by their delightful canine friend. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage for the peace and tranquility of its setting and the ability to take some lovely walks directly from its location. Ideal central situation for exploring all that Shropshire has to offer.

The cottage is very well appointed and comfortable to stay in. We really liked the open plan downstairs sitting/kitchen area but the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are small with sloping beamed ceilings, although there was still enough room for the 4 of us, including two teenagers. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and were fantastic about looking in on our dog when we had to leave him on his own one day to attend a family wedding. We loved the location - so quiet and the views are fantastic. Other reviewers have commented about the remote location, but that's what we wanted and as long as you are prepared to chill out and drive slowly around the narrow twisty roads (as you will meet tractors and the other occasional car/cyclist/walker) then there's no problem. Don't be precious about your car though, as we acquired several scratches from the overgrown hedges which line all of the roads. Walking around the lanes is fine, but all of the local paths across fields involved tackling overgrown stiles so we didn't find them particularly dog or people friendly. Walking up and around the Long Mynd is spectacular, but many of the paths are stony and narrow and you need to go early if you don't want to be walking in a queue as it's very popular. Overall though this is the perfect spot to unwind and get away from the stresses of day to day life.
