Private parking for 2 cars.\nIf you are seeking a peaceful break in the Brecon Beacons then this quirky converted chapel is the perfect place to stay. Situated on a minor road junction in the picturesque village of Pontsticill surrounded by rolling hills and breath-taking views of the mountains and valleys the sights are simply waiting to be seen…\nWhilst this area is designed for those who adore the outdoors with scenery and nature at its core there is plenty to suit all tastes. If you can tear the family away from the Pinball machine and jukeboxes then be sure to encourage them to join you for a scenic walk around Pontsticill Reservoir where there are a number of circular walks to try. Fishing is also permitted by arrangement. \nOr why not rest those roving feet and take a relaxing ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway? The children will love the play area whilst the grown-ups enjoy refreshments at the Lakeside café and a visit to the Steam Museum is a must for all the family. Llangorse Activity Centre Gigrin Farm and The Big Pit National Coal Museum are all within easy reach for a day out in this beautiful area of Mid Wales. This is a great place to stay. Ideal location to explore the beacons. Nice pub over the road with a friendly atmosphere. Can also recommend The Aberglais which is about a mile outside the village. Plenty of good walks and bike rides direct from the cottage plenty of others within a short driving distance. There is an Asda with a 24 hour petrol station about 10 minutes drive away. Also a Lidl just across from that. Food in the two pubs mentioned is also good. Aberglais was cheaper. Keith makes you feel very welcome. Overall we loved the quirkiness of the cottage and it's great location. Highly recommended. We will be back next year.

totally bonkers cottage! we loved it! xxx 10 minute drive to the mountains, also reservoirs to walk around if mountain weather is unfriendly. Two pubs a short walk away both do good food but the Red Cow stops taking food orders at 4pm Monday - Wednesday
