Beautiful scenery in lovely location. Post office/shop nearby as well as pub. Good base allowing not to long a trip to scenic attractions. Only small negatives were shower pressure poor and unable to connect to wifi during stay. However all had very enjoyable break (dogs as well).

Lovely house in a beautiful location. We arrived in Storm Dennis and therefore could not venture out but was lovely to sit in the big window watching Loch Long change with the weather. Love the addition of binoculars. Plenty of room for a family of four and appreciated two bathrooms. Castle within walking distance and a handy little shop. We picked this house also for its location to the Syke bridge as we wanted to tour Skye without actually being on it. We also took our dog with us and liked how the cottage also welcomed him with food bowels, hooks for his lead and towels and blankets. We did have an issue whilst there with the washing machine but this was rectified for us very quickly so communication with the owner and housekeeper is excellent. There was only one negative for us which was the shared driveway. You are asked not to block it and park outside the neighbours' houses which we fully understood but the owners next door unfortunately do not. They parked blocking the drive a number of times with their van and one day when we returned in bad weather we could not even get into the drive and the private space and had to park in the small car park away from the house and wait until they moved a while later until we could move the car back to the space behind the house.

Absolutely wonderful cottage. WiFi not great but that was to be expected due to the location. This cottage had every amenity required, plus some more. Really comfy sofas and the kitchen had every appliance in it, plus all crockery and cutlery. The 2 toilets, 1 family bathroom and 1 downstairs shower room, were large, spacious and spotless, with more than enough towels. Heating above expectations for holiday accommodation, with storage heaters and wall heaters and towel rails. The 3 bedrooms were terrific, albeit we only used the one. The super king size bed in the main bedroom was really comfortable and the other 2 rooms were lovely and large, with tasteful decor throughout the cottage. There is a large, spacious porch area at the rear of the cottage, which was ideal, as we had our spaniel Brodie with us. Plus an added extra was stair gates, at the top and bottom of the staircase. All in all, we could not find any fault at all with this cottage. We shall definitely be booking holidays in the future with them.

Loved our week up at Clear Waters and will definitely back as I’ve still got Corbetts to climb around there. One of the best all round places I’ve booked in about 30 years of renting cottages in Scotland. Especially loved how dog friendly it is - very thoughtful and guessing that Neil and Sue are dog lovers too. Many thanks and we will be back some time.

The Cottage was lovely, but the mattress on the king size bed in the upstairs bedroom was uncomfortable, I felt like I was rolling out of bed.. The views were amazing though, and the cottage had everything that we needed.

The cottage was perfect in every way,the location was superb to wake very morning to views of the Loch were amazing, and great for walking our dogs The accommodation was perfect for the 5 of us,we had everything we needed for self catering and all equipment was excellent quality, the property was spotless,we loved the table football!!! I have scored local amenities at 7,this was not a problem there were shops for all our provisions a short drive away and we used the local shop a few times plus we enjoyed visiting the bar at the Plockton Hotel and ate there one night, can recommend

Clear Waters is probably the best self catering holiday home we have ever stayed in. It was clean, comfortable, furnished and equipped to the highest standard and absolutely immaculate. The owners clearly care about their guest experience and have thought of everything to make their stay perfect. The views from the lounge are stunning and the location is ideal for exploring the Highlands and Skye. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

The location at side of a loch over looking the loch is fantastic with a lovely view when sitting in bay window. Cleanliness of bathrooms and kitchen was good however the lounge was not clean with crumbs on the floor and sofa cushions and dust on some surfaces. The bedrooms where also quite dusty on lamps and top of the heaters. The front windows were dirty with many smears and handprints. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality hob, oven and dishwasher. The fridge however does not work well and froze some food in fridge section. The fridge light is not working either. The freezer section is clogged with ice and needs defrosting. The sofas are very uncomfortable. They look okay but when you sit down the cushions flatten and it does not support you. Both my husband and I are slim so it was not due to excessive weight. The TV is quite small and if you had more than two people staying those on second sofa would struggle to see it. The DVD player has a problem with making a loud buzzing noise so you cannot hear the DVD. The utility room is very useful however the football table game occupies a big part of the room making access to the washing machine and dryer difficult. All these points are minor and easily rectified. We have a holiday cottage ourselves and understand how hurtful negative comments can be but with easily resolved problems this cottage will continue to get good reviews. Being told in accommodation guide to clean kitchen and bathrooms before leaving is unacceptable. That is why you pay for the hire of the cottage. It is the cleaners responsibility.
