    Set on the fringes of Aviemore village, a wonderful location for enjoying the great outdoors in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, these superbly appointed and beautifully furnished properties offer a very high degree of comfort. Sitting in a quiet cul de sac, they are ideal for family gatherings. All of the four properties (refs S4401, S4402, S4615 and S4538) enjoy their own private hot tub (each for 4 people) and S4401, S4402 and S4538 have a digital, infrared sauna with music and colour system, Freeview TVs and hairdryers in all bedrooms. Aviemore is a renowned centre for outdoor pursuits – excellent climbing and hill walking, competition standard mountain bike tracks, water sports on Lochs Morlich and Insch and, of course, skiing and snow boarding in season are just some of the activities on offer. The fishing and golf are similarly excellent, with trout fishing available all year at Rothiemurchus Estate, 2 miles, or hire equipment (at cost, licence required) for salmon fishing at the River Spey (seasonal). Sled dog rides, train trips to the resort at the top of the mountain, and the Strathspey steam railway are also found here and Britain’s only freely roaming reindeer herd can be spotted against the stunning backdrop of Glenmore. Shops, good restaurants, themed bars, live music are all within 0.5 miles. Other great attractions in the area are The Highland Wildlife Centre with Amur tigers, wolves and polar bear, The Landmark Centre, Tree Zone; an incredible aerial adventure and Aviemore Highland Resort Leisure Centre with its own wavepool, water slides and cinema.

    The house in general was great, it was clean and was fitted with all the utensils that anyone could ever need so really a home from home... until you meet the neighbour next door. Wow. We had surprised a friend of ours for her 40th birthday with a hot tub get away (7 of us in total). After about 4 hours of being in the property sitting down to some dinner a friend who had been outside alerted us that the police would like to come in as there had been a complaint. The police entered the property and was surprised to see us all sat eating and chatting between ourselves with some music on in the background. They wanted to come in and check that there was actually people in the property as they couldn’t hear/see anything untoward from outside and continued to explain that there had been a complaint made about an extremely loud out of hand party outside in the hot tub... cue the confused expressions on everyone’s face, none of us had even had the chance to get in the hot tub yet! As per protocol the police had to come and check but reassured us that they had no qualms and that it’s not the first time they’ve had this kind of call from said neighbour. The owner that evening at about 10:30 phoned me from Spain and quite rightly so sounding extremely worried as they had received a call from the neighbour alerting them to the “crazy hot tub party” that was apparently going on. The next day said neighbours were out and a couple of us were leaving and had quickly pulled into the space right in front of the house to put heavy luggage into the car, as if by magic said neighbour appeared shouting that there were plenty of other places to park and that she was going to phone the police again because SHE felt intimidated. Firstly I understand that living next to a holiday cottage at times may not be great, you can get all sorts appearing (stag/hen parties & young rowdy party goers) which we were neither but you cannot treat guests of someone else’s business in this manner. This one neighbour really put a dampener on our whole weekend, we felt like we couldn’t relax and we’re constantly on edge just incase there was another complaint. It really is a shame that the neighbour of this property has ruined our experience because apart from that the house was exactly what we needed and more but we feel that others should know and consider this before booking.

    Brilliant stay at Clunnie Mor - absolutely couldn’t fault it at all. Hot tub a great extra and we felt right at home as soon as we stepped inside. So comfortable and we are looking to book again for next year!! 10/10!!

    We all had a lovely week staying at Clunnie Mor. Accomodation was perfect everything you need to have a lovely break away from home. Some lovely walks close by too. Would highly recommend. very child friendly too. Just as comfy and clean as my own home.

    Fantastic accommodation, very well equipped, the kitchen had every utensil you could need and even has shoe polish and a sewing kit. The house was very well heated, the rooms were a good size and the tv and sky box in each bedroom were a bonus (although admittedly we never used them). The WiFi was excellent - constant and a good speed. We didn’t use the hot tub but our son did and he very much enjoyed it (till he dropped his iPhone in and ruined it!). It was a pleasant, easy walk into the centre of AvIemore, where there is a good range of shops and restaurants. For food supplies there is a choice of Tesco or Aldi, and a good butchers shop. Even a Home Bargains. Lots of amenities nearby such as water sports on Loch Morlich (in spring/summer), mountain biking, steam/diesel train from the nearby station and the ski centre is a short drive or a bus ride from the centre. We would definitely recommend this property.

    Had a great weekend break at clunnie mor, inside was cozy and relaxing and hot tub was a great added bonus. Just a short walk into aviemore town to fill up on supplies. And a lot of activities to keep all groups entertained.

    Lovely house, perfect location for the centre of aviemore. Hot tub was divine!! Amenities in the house were really good and perfect for a family with young children such as ours. We could break our day up and come back to the house after walks/activities for some home comforts. Only comment would be the stair gates provided don’t fit great so we had to improvise with coasters to ensure our toddlers safety. It worked eventually but wasn’t easy. We will be booking this house next year definitely !!!
