Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable seating areas and bedrooms, all finished to a high standard. The river view from the sitting room is stunning, where you can see lots of passing wildlife. Excellent location in Newton Stewart, lots of nearby shops and restaurants. Highly recommended. Will be booking again next year hopefully.

good points: river view and lounge, beautiful and scenic, great base for Galloway forest and Cree woods, near shops. bad points: macerator toilet very noisy so can’t use at night and goes off randomly 24 hours a day. didn’t find instructions for heating and appliances until day before leaving as under bin bags in a drawer. no welcome pack. heavy traffic from road shakes whole cottage. beds creaky. bin didn’t get emptied despite putting out as instructed so had to go to local tip, maybe fortnightly collection? tourist info out of date so i had to replace. not suitable for disabled due to bath, narrow passage and stairs been narrow without proper rail and no full banister. could have done with electric tin opener. disappointed with this cottage for luxury collection. barbeque all orange with rust.

Lovely place to stay. Had a great time. Our washing machine had broken and we really needed it. Cathy got this resolved within a day and kept an open line of communication. Really great host, what a lovely place.

This cottage is stunning...it's beautifully decorated and comfortable and the river lounge is something else! We stayed in January and it was lovely to sit and watch the sun rise and wildlife enjoying the river. The kitchen is huge with a gorgeous farmhouse table and the cupboards have every utensil you'll ever need (excet a pizza cutter!). We enjoyed relaxing and watching TV in the front living room too...very comfy sofa! We found the super king size bed so comfortable too. The cottage is at one end of the main street so just a few moments walk from shops, cafes and take aways. Many restaurants are 'bring your own bottle' type places but we weren't impressed with some of the bars (a bit run down). We really did like the area though and enjoyed walks along the river and around Newton Stewart and we also visited The Galloway Forest and World of Cree for some lovely winter walks. From the info in the cottage, there seems a lot to do if you wanted to drive for a little way but we just enjoyed the cottage too much to have days out!

Very enjoyable Christmas at Creebank. Convenient for the town/shops. The cottage was beautifully furnished and an excellent position next to river. It was warm and comfortable and we appreciated the Christmas crackers , tree etc. We would definitely recommend to friends and family.

This is our second visit to creebank and it didn’t disappoint again. Cottage very tastefully decorated and everything you could possibly want. The only thing I’m not so keen on is the creaky single beds but the king size and double bed are really comfortable. Will be looking forward to a return visit next year.

Absolutely beautiful cottage. Immaculate inside and everything you needed was provided. The lounge overlooking the river is amazing and you can spend hours chilling in that room. Bed was very comfy and the bathroom shower was excellent. Having stayed in many cottages this would rate very highly. Newton Stewart is a lovely place with many places to eat out if that’s what you want to do. It’s also a central location to drive out and about from. I know for certain that Creebank will be seeing us again.
