Hoseasons "Spacious accommodation for 4 guests within easy reach of Swansea Cardiff and the Millennium Coastal Path for walking and cycling. Adjoins The Dairy with views of Gower countryside. Living room with electric woodburner French door to garden patio. Well-equipped modern fitted kitchendining room. Shower room and toilet. Wooden staircase with child gate at top and bottom to first floor Double bedroom. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. Beamed throughout.\n \n Roughly equidistant between the north and south coasts of Gower Three Crosses lies in Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and forms the setting for these lovingly renovated listed 18th-century properties which have won prestigious awards namely the Lord Mayor Design Award Wales regional winner for Built in Quality Design Award and the Gower Society Award. Originally comprising the buildings of the only farm in the village they offer holiday accommodation of a very high standard blending modern facilities with old world charm have wi-fi internet access and lie close to the 18th-century village pub serving good food.\nStretching from the pretty thriving village of Mumbles on the western edge of Swansea Bay the south coast offers many opportunities for water sports with beautiful sandy beaches further along the coast to the jewel of Rhossilli and a 22-mile coastal path rewards walkers with some of the most stunning scenery in Wales. Taking on a more wild and rugged look the north coast stretches from Llangennith along miles of deserted sandy beaches and follows the Loughor Estuary. Beautiful walks abound in inland Gower which boasts three Norman castles and spectacular views of the north and south coasts can be admired from Cefyn Bryn – the spine of Gower. The Rhossilli Downs overlook the beach towards Worms Head – reached by a causeway at low tide. Home to 4 golf courses one a few hundred yards from Crwys Farm Gower also has surfing beaches at Llangennith and Langland pony trekking and excellent fishing. For a change of tempo the city of Swansea beckons. Home of Dylan Thomas Swansea with its cinema bowling indoor leisure facilities has the largest indoor market in Wales and boasts an excellent maritime quarter containing the Welsh Maritime Museum as well Plantasia. Travelling west towards the rugby town of Llanelli the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust is a must for bird-watchers and the Millennium Coastal Park makes an excellent cycling venue leading to Pembrey Country Park with woodland and 7-mile sandy beach. Further afield are Cardiff Tenby Dan yr Ogof Caves and the Brecon Beacons with the Pembrokeshire coast also easily accessible. Lovely cottage, well equipped and comfortable. Great location, central to everything on The Gower.

Nice clean cottage, in a good location.

Clean comfortable cottage, the downside for us was the noise of the constant traffic at Three Crosses it appears to be a rat run for commuters which is not what you want to hear when you on are holiday. One member of our party had a little difficulty with the vertical nature of the stairs this property is not suitable for those with mobility issues and the ground floor is not on the level. Some of the oventrays could have been cleaner or newer, but the owner responded fairly promptly to an issue with hall light. Not enough recycling bags available for self caterers needs. With these points in mind possibly not quite a 5 star property but felt the price reflected the overall experience.

Very good over all the only problem was the weather will book again next year

The Granary is a comfortable and clean holiday cottage, and we particularly appreciated the enclosed garden, as it was relaxing sitting outside at the end of the day, knowing our border collie dog was secure with us. The garden seems to catch the afternoon/evening sun, and though not right on the coast, it is on high ground so you can glimpse the sea in the distance. Gower is a fantastic place to holiday with your dog, as about half the beaches allow dogs all summer. We stayed in early July and had miles of sandy beaches almost to ourselves - just a few other dog owners in the distance. The wild flowers were also beautiful in the sand dunes behind the beaches called 'burrows'.

    1. The Granary hadn't been cleaned properly. a) There was grit on the mantelpiece and dust on the TV cabinet. b) The toilet brush holder in the upstairs bathroom hadn't been emptied and was partly filled with water and pieces of debris (I can only guess what that was). I didn't check the one downstairs. c) The blankets that were across one of the chairs and the sofa looked grubby 2. There was a bulb missing from one of the bedside lights in the twin bedroom. We brought this to the attention of the owner, who called while we were out (no problem with that) and inserted a bulb, but it still didn't work. 3. A bulb was out in the centre light of the double bedroom, which we replaced ourselves using the only spare one we found. One of the bulbs didn't match all the others. 4. Both torches, which apparently the cottage needs for compliance, had leaking batteries and one of them wasn't working properly. We brought this to the owner's attention. They were replaced in the torch that wasn't working, but not in the one that still worked. 5. The pedal bin in the upstairs bathroom didn't work, so the lid had to be lifted manually. 6. The clock on the mantelpiece wasn't working 7. The chopping board was fixed in place. It really needs a light above it to let you see what you are doing (the light on the cooker hood isn't sufficient) and is a health risk owing to the fact it can't be taken to the sink for washing. 8. There was a whole collection of leaflets giving information about local attractions. These were possibly left by a succession of previous guests. Unfortunately the Whats On brochure was for December 2018. We stayed in June 2019. 9. The information guide prepared by the owners had not been updated since 2010, with some pages dated 2005. Consequently some information (the opening and closing times of Swansea Museum for example) was inaccurate. 10. There were no shaving/cosmetic mirrors. 11. At least one chef's knife instead of 3 serrated bread knives and boning knife would have helped. 12. The accommodation sleeps 4, but there were only two "easy" chairs in the garden. 13. The outside light didn't work. This was brought to the owner's attention; but it wasn't fixed, and no explanation given. While we might differ on what should be included to make the accommodation "luxury", there can be no disagreement that everything that is there needed to have been presented to the best that it could be. It wasn't and I don't think that the owners could be bothered with the work that would require.

Lovely cottage and good location to visit all of the Gower. Great for our family of 4 plus our dog. Highly recommended.

Beautiful accommodation and location for the Gower. Our 2 old dogs loved it there and we enjoyed the fresh chicken and duck eggs you can get from next door. Thoroughly recommend this place for peace and tranquility but within easy access of some fantastic beaches.

We really enjoyed our stay and found the cottage met all our needs! We definitely needed the car though to make the most of the lovely beaches and countryside round about. Comfortable, clean, well equipped and very welcoming - it was one of the best cottages we've stayed in!
