The property has a natural water supply from a well. \n Dairy Cottage can be found in the beautiful North Devon valley of the River Yeo just on the outskirts of the regional town of Barnstaple. It stands at one corner of the courtyard which until 1978 was the collecting yard of Pitt Farm’s dairy. Dairy Cottage now offers well-appointed comfortable and convenient holiday accommodation. Relax in the peaceful surroundings with breakfast on the patio or an evening barbecue. The cottage lies only 1 mile from the High Street of Barnstaple with all its facilities yet still enjoys its location in the countryside with rural views.\nThe market town of Barnstaple has a pannier market a shopping centre with many of the well-known high street brands and many smaller shops which sell a wide variety of goods. For those of a more active nature one only has to cross the River Taw by way of the ancient Long Bridge to enjoy the pleasures of the North Devon Leisure Centre with its olympic size swimming pool. The property’s convenient location means it is ideal for getting to all the nearby beaches at Westward Ho Saunton and the pick of the bunch Woolacombe. There is great walking and cycling on the Tarka Trail. For the youngsters there are the Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks. The RHS gardens at Rosemoor are well worth a visit and there are National Trust properties at Arlington and Castle Drogo. There is an abundance of walking in the area on the South West Coastal Path and in the Exmoor National Park. Fishing golf and tennis are all available locally. Beach 8 miles. Shop ½ mile pub and restaurant ¾ mile.\n \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/132/840/1325091.jpg UKC1169

Lovely well equipped cottage, could easily had stayed in most days! (Weather didn’t help!). Friendly hosts who live next door, nothing too much trouble yet not intrusive - would definitely go back!

The owners were lovely, the cottage was big and well equipped. The little conservatory was brilliant as you could sit in the recliners and take in the amazing views.

One of the best places we have stayed, it had everything we needed for a weeks stay.

We loved our stay with our 3 children. The owners Paul and Daphne were very friendly and welcoming, and gave us a guided tour of the cottage, grounds and its history. The cottage itself is very large, comfortable and we felt at home straight away. We were so happy to see little extras such as dishwasher tablets and washing powder, we were given some fresh milk on arrival and my children were thrilled with the packets of hot chocolate Paul and Daphne provided. It was like a 4 star hotel than a country cottage. The cottage was very quiet and you will need a car, however the local town is only a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk away, packed with shops and resturants.

Dairy Cottage was everything we expected it would be, spacious, comfortable and clean. An ideal base for exploring this area of North Devon. The owners were very friendly made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely cottage, plenty of room for five of us. The garden is beautiful, so peaceful but only a mile from Barnstaple. The cottage had all the amenities you need. Loved Mr and Mrs Duck that came to the door everyday looking for food! Def recommend it.
