Charming cottage set in rural location approx 15 mins drive out of Taunton. Easy to find with Google maps. Cottage is very secure, attached to owners residence. You can sometimes hear noises through walls when owner in her kitchen but I didn't find this bothersome. Friendly welcome from owners dogs at entrance who are contained in owners garden. Separate large, private garden for guests. Ceilings downstairs and through doorsways are low and stairs very steep. Kitchen is well fitted with equipment and owner, who is friendly, very accommodating and helpful, loaned me her soup maker which was wonderful. Only 35 mins to south coast so I enjoyed a couple of days walking along coastal path. Local paths from house were quite muddy in March as to be expected but a lovely 3 mile walk along bridle ways to Castle Neroche. Enjoyed my stay.

Cosy cottage with ample room. Loved the comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Was absolutely Perfect for our dogs having access to the enclosed garden. Very relaxing holiday.

Just loved our short break, absolutely perfect. cottage as gorgeous, the log burner superb and the garden awesome. Would love to visit again when the weather improves as there is a BBQ and I would love to chill out in that garden with a glass of wine and have a BBQ. The dogs would be safely enclosed with lots of space to run around and play ball.

A welcoming cozy cottage. Excellent dog friendly pubs within 1-3 miles.

This cottage is perfect for families. It's well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. You are joined to next door and they have 3 friendly dogs, which at times can be heard within the cottage.

Lovely cottage attached to owners house, dogs made very welcome, the owner has her own too. Brilliant contained garden for the dogs, wonderful wood burner for cosy evenings or lazy afternoons on a cold day. Kitchen has all the equipment you should need and the bathroom is lovely with underfloor heating. We had a very relaxing long weekend , lots of great places to visit nearby and easy shopping in Taunton. Can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely fabulous cottage, just home from home, everything you could possible need or want is there. The whole cottage is done to such a high specification, it is just perfect. Especially loved the fireplace, and beams in the cottage. Huge closed in garden, which my dog especially loved and spent so much time in. Location is excellent, 15 minutes from most places around you. It was spotlessly clean and the owners were fabulous, we will definitely be looking to stay here again. Only word of caution, the stairs in the cottage are steep, it does warn you when booking

Beautiful cottage and a very friendly and informative welcome from the owners. Very comfortable beds and extremely good quality bed sheets. The whole cottage was spotlessly clean and interior designed to an excellent standard. The kitchen contained all necessary equipment in very good condition. Our dog enjoyed her holiday and she was provided with a bed, bowls, poo bags and dog biscuits. What a lovely touch! The owners also had dogs (their house connected to the cottage), but we hardly knew they were there. Our only criticism was that the local pub was much further away than the 1.5 miles as advertised. Beautiful walks in the vicinity. However, all shops, pubs, etc. need to be driven to. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Cosy, well-equipped cottage full of home comforts with friendly and helpful owners next door. The living room is very cosy and has a log burner - sadly it was not cold enough to justify running it while we were there. Large, very pretty, dog and human friendly garden. The cottage is more spacious, especially the bedrooms, than implied by the cottage photographs. Excellent location with some super dog walks straight from the cottage into Bickenhall Woods and onto Bickenhall Plain. Easy access by car to local attractions including Hestercombe Gardens, the West Somerset Heritage Railway, Mulcheney Abbey and the Willows and Wetlands Centre, all of which are dog friendly attractions, and further afield to Seaton and Lyme Regis on the south coast. My dog was even allowed to visit the thatched Monk's Latrine at Mulcheney Abbey - a first for all of us. Looking forward to returning in late Spring to make fuller use of the garden and barbecue facilities.

The cottage is very olde worlde but with every modern amenity. Everything in the cottage is of a very high standard. The beds are extremely comfortable with very good quality bedding. The cottage is very dog friendly with a safe, enclosed and very pretty garden. (The garden is accessed through an enclosed passageway.) The owners live in the attached property next door and are very friendly but also very unobtrusive. The cottage is in an ideal location for touring, with many National Trust properties and gardens open to the public within easy reach. Forde Abbey has beautiful gardens and welcomes dogs everywhere (on lead) except in the house. There are no shops nearby to buy essentials like milk and bread.

A delightful cottage with all of the mod cons that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. The owners of the property are warm and welcoming as are their dogs. The garden is huge and dog proof, meaning they’ll not get out! Inside is really nice and authentic - the Wi-fi is a great addition also! Location is great as you can pop into Taunton to grab shopping or a bite to eat, and is really well located to visit the south coast.
