On entering the cottage we found a welcome pack comprising home baked bread, butter, jams, chocolates, biscuits and milk! The owners were very friendly.

We found Darwin Cottage quite delightful. Although small it had all the basic amenities one would expect, with comfortable bedrooms and living area. Our Christmas turkey was cooked perfectly in the oven provided while the fridge/freezer was large enough for everything we needed to feed a hungry family on the day. The walk-in shower was ideal and very popular with all residents. The heating system kept us warm and cosy. Although the WiFi gave a little trouble, Tanya and Paul were very attentive and sorted it out in no time. Although right next door to the local pub we were not disturbed, partly due to good double glazing. We would love to stay in the summer and enjoy the country walks available from Jevington.

The cottage backs on to the carpark of the village pub (serving good food and beer) in the small, quiet village of Jevington so is very easy to find. It was spotlessly clean, with a very well-equipped kitchen-diner-living room, a double bedroom with en-suite shower downstairs and another double room and bathroom upstairs. There is wi-fi which was patchy but contributed to a relaxing holiday. The South Downs Way passes through Jevington, and provides some delightful walks - we were lucky with the weather - to local villages with pubs catering for walkers.

We loved staying in Darwin Cottage it is very well equipped and comfortable. In a quiet spot next door to a pub with walks onto the South Downs from the door step. A short drive to local stores and Eastbourne also the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head and the Sevon Sisters where the walks and coastline are wonderful. We are longing to return.

A lovely cottage, very well equipped and in a beautiful location. There were also a variety of children's toys, dvds and books which was a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate in staying there again.

One of the best so far (out of about 30 in the past 7-8 years. Above score tells it all. Lovely owners, terrific welcome, pub next door and topped out by home bread and butter as added welcome treat. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing.

Well appointed holiday cottage with all white goods found in any kitchen plus a clothes line! Like home from home from the equipment point of view. Plenty of walks straight from the Cottage without taking the car and food next door at the Eight Bells. Shady car parks to be found in the area which was ideal for us as the weather was so hot.
