Ideal for year round family holidays it features a most attractively furnished designer interior which opens out onto a large south-facing enclosed garden laid mainly to lawn. The surrounding area is a nature lover’s paradise with several lochs close by offering excellent fishing and bird-watching opportunities and much indigenous flora and fauna. Inverness 17 miles. Shops 6 miles pub 1 mile open Apr-Oct.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLarge attractive living room with open fire with French doors to patio. Large well-equipped modern fitted kitchendining room with Aga. Twin bedroom. Shower room with toilet. First floor Two double bedrooms each with 6ft bed zip link. Twin bedroom.     We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Dhuallow: loved the remoteness, the snow, the grounds, the aga, the traditional cottage style, and the open fire. We were a little disappointed that the open fire in the living room seemed to have a partially blocked chimney and would not draw, no matter how much paper, how many firelighters and how much kindling were used, since the storage heater in there was inadequate for main heating in that room during very cold weather. We were also dismayed that there was an additional charge for electricity on a dual tarrif, and we had to read the meter and calculate the charges for each tarrif, so make sure you have cash on you when you leave. There was also no way of telephoning anyone - even the Police in an emergency - which was a concern. The payphone provided was not working and there was no internet or phone signal. However, this is a beautiful building in a wonderful setting and the aga simply begs for cakes and bread making! There is plenty of parking and the cottage is set well away from the road. The outside lighting is a boon, since the area is pitch dark at night, and so great for viewing the night sky. The bed situation is very useful, as each room can be either a twin or a king, although the mattresses are rather firm and the pillows very flat. We would definitely stay here again - we just didn't want to leave. Thank you for not over-modernising this lovely property.

    A great place from where to explore the Locks but you need to travel by car to do anything as there are no local facilities, not even a corner shop. I went there primerally to walk and take my dogs onto the moors. Local walks were not clear even on OS maps and stopping places on the moors were few and far between. However, my son and his fiancé had a great time ranging 150miles around the cottage, visiting distilleries and craft shops. The grounds were perfect for dogs.

    Nice house but needs updating, kitchen falling apart and no Wi-Fi or mobile signal, half the TV channels didn't work either.

    Nice house but it needs updating, kitchen falling apart, gate won't close, no Wi-Fi, half TV channels didn't work. Then you're expected to pay for electricity on top! Charging way too much for the quality of the cottage.

    Overall good accommodation, Nice beautiful location and surroundings. However could not find any mobile signal anywhere inside or surrounding so could not even make a call. Did not had enough kitchen utilities or overall facility not up-to date, require update.
