We stayed at the cottage for a week with our two chihuahua dogs. The garden was great for the dogs, and more importantly - secure (even for 2 little escape artists). The cottage was warm and cosy and in a great location...just two mins off the A5, yet it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere which was perfect for us! The games room was fun...I particularly liked the pool table. The cottage had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dylasau.

Lovely cottage, well equiped and in a great area with lots to do and see . The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The free pass to the local leisure centre was a nice touch as the weather wasn't too good , so we made use of the facilties which were brilliant. The games room was enjoyable too.

We love this little cottage! This is the second time we have stayed here for a long weekend and we will come again!! It’s the perfect little hide away, and so cosy especially on a very wet day!!!! The fire is just what you need after a long cold walk up the hills!! Location is great for exploring Snowdonia! Owners are great aswell! Thank you for a lovely holiday! We enjoyed ourselves despite the non stop rain!!

We had a super week and really enjoyed our stay at Dylasau Cottage. The location was perfect for us, the cottage is cosy, it was clean and warm. It was well equiped so had all we needed. The games room is a real bonus, we had endless hours of playing pool and table football in the evenings.

Our recent holiday at Dylasau Cottage was our fourth visit there, which I think gives an indication of our assessment of the property. Lovely quiet location which is within easy reach of everything that Snowdonia has to offer. The cottage is very comfy and well equipped and the owners are extremely helpful. Will certainly be returning in the years to come.

Dylasau Cottage is a lovely period stone cottage, with one double bedroom upstairs and two singles downstairs along with the living room, bathroom and kitchen. Set in a secluded location yet only a minute from the A5 trunk road; walk the other way down the lane and you are likely only going to meet sheep and wildlife. There are quite a few pubs and eateries in the area worth visiting (we particularly liked the Y Giler Arms at Rhydylanfair), and the kitchen is well equipped for eating in too. The 30 steps up to the property and the stream were no issues for us but could be an issue for small children or people with mobility issues; however this was well advertised in advance. Loved the newly installed renewable heating, and the recent bathroom. The lean too back room is a handy space - although it could do with some hooks for wet weather gear to dry off - this is Snowdonia so its going to be wet a lot of the time! The pool table in the back room is a bit of fun, haven't played for years and rediscovered why! Was surprised that there was a only a limited range of local information left in the property, usually along with the the house details (which were out of date - no mention of the new heating system for example), there is usually a recommendation or two from the owners for local walks and the best places to eat out. Given there is no mobile signal at the property, and the issue with wifi (see below) some further info could have come in handy. The only issue we had was with the wifi - the limit to 3GB per week and inability to stream things like music, sync photos to the cloud and download documents (timetables, route maps and pub menus are quite often in pdf format) caused us an issue. I would have wanted to know that it was limited before hand, so this knocks a point off the overall score, which would otherwise have been 9/10.
