Located between Okehampton and Holsworthy, East Croft Barn is the perfect choice for family and friends wanting a peaceful country holiday, and is ideally placed to explore the delights of both Devon and Cornwall. Converted in 2018 this spacious, detached property is situated on a working family dairy farm and sits within the stunning ruby countryside of Devon. It has been lovingly refurbished into a delightful and spacious holiday home. The large open plan living space is at the heart of the house, with a cosy wood burner to curl up beside on a chilly evening and a large dining table to gather everyone together and enjoy an evening meal. The sitting room gives the option of an extra two day beds if needed, and has another TV and table football to keep everyone entertained. The sitting room opens onto a secluded, sunny patio and garden with delightful country views, the perfect spot to enjoy an evening BBQ while you plan your next day out.
The property is well placed for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. Halwill Junction is just 1-mile away with a popular village inn, post office, shop and fish and chip shop. Holsworthy, 9 miles away, has a good selection of local shops and supermarkets along with a leisure centre and weekly market. The market towns of Launceston and Okehampton are only a short drive away and there are several good local pubs and restaurants close by to have a break from the cooking. Roadford Reservoir is just 15 minutes away where you can enjoy sailing and walking and where there is a lovely waterside café. Dingles Heritage Fairground is 10 miles and is a great day out whatever the weather. The wide golden sands of Bude and Widemouth Bay are 17 miles, with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks, along with shopping and leisure facilities, including 10-pin bowling, a wave pool, restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
With nature reserves and woodland close by the area is great for dog walkers. Fishing, riding, watersports and golf are all on offer close by and Dartmoor National Park is a must for nature lovers. RHS Rosemoor is a haven for gardeners and golfers can enjoy three well-groomed courses. If you want to explore further afield, the pretty fishing villages of Port Isaac, Tintagel, Padstow and Clovelly are close by. Beach 17 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
