Haddington has a good range of local shops, pubs and restaurants, 1.5 miles.

A lovely warm welcome to a beautiful holiday cottage. The views were beautiful and it was a delight to see pheasants, a hare and the farm animals. We'll definitely be coming back.
Eliza Cottage is a home from home. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and has the most stunning views from the sun lounge. The cottage is very comfortable and very well situated for local attractions. Haddington is a 30 minute walk where you can find shops and pubs/restaurants. The cottage owner, Josephine, is very welcoming and friendly and provides a welcome pack which includes enough for your first breakfast. Lots of information leaflets about places of interest. A peaceful location yet within easy reach of Edinburgh, beaches and several local golf courses (all the ones tried were very good, so I’m told). I would not hesitate to book again.

Excellent, clean and homely cottage in a brilliant location.
The photos do not do this justice. It is much bigger than the photos look. It has everything you want and more. The conservatory is a must with cream teas and sunsets. It was spotless. The owner Josephine is lovely and very helpful. It very handy for Edinburgh ad local sites. Go into Edinburgh on the train via the park and ride. Visit the other attractions in East Lothian and Haddington itself. Great holiday and superb digs.
Eliza Cottage is one of the best we have stayed in. It was beautifully equipped and presented and immaculately clean. Josephine met us on arrival and showed us around. She also left a very nice welcome pack. We would definitely recommend this lovely property and give it 5*.
Highly recommended, good for couples and families, I can't praise this cottage enough.
Second visit to this excellent cottage. Tranquil surroundings. Easy access to the seaside, countryside and the city. Something for everyone!
