To be fair the coronavirus didnt help as local pubs were shut and so every evening I had to cook a meal after a long day out. I had to drive everywhere to get to places, I guess I didnt realise how out in the countryside the location was. The courtyard for me was a disappointment.

Excellent place for a quiet break.

This barn is beautiful, it looks smaller in the pictures but it much more spacious. Very quaint. A nice small enclosed garden. There is a local shop, not always open each day, but there is a co-op a few miles drive, and a pub in walking distance. The best beach nearby is caister on sea which has lovely dunes and vast beach great for the dog. Oh and I had the best curry delivered from Acle spice, highly recommend!!

The cottage was lovely, warm and cosy, well equipped, the skylight over the bed was ideal for star gazing on clear nights. The cottage was very dog friendly, with a bowl and treats, there was even a dog waste bin in the courtyard and the owners even provided a piece of would to use to stop small dogs getting under the gate. We would definitely go again if available.

Lovely little place to stay on the broads. In a white village so not many amenities in walking distance but there is a pub and small shop and a bigger village a 5 minute drive away. The house itself is cosy, well furnished and allows dogs which was great for us! Little extras included dog biscuits, dog bowl, dog towel, biscuits for us, sugar, milk, coffee, cooking oil, seasoning, torch for evening walks etc. Highly recommend this gem!

Great central location to visit the sites in Southern Norfolk and close to some lovely beaches for dog walks. Walking distance to a village shop and a local pub with a friendly atmosphere and good food. Also very friendly owners of the cottage and the welcome package was a nice touch.

We had a lovely long weekend stay here. The accommodation is spotless, well equipped and conveniently situated to visit many beaches and towns through-out Norfolk.

We had a very relaxing holiday and did find the cottage comfortable. On arrival, we were shown the cottage and on first impression thought it was very clean. Once the owner had left us to it and we unpacked, we began to find quite a lot of dirt. When putting our food away in the kitchen cupboards, we saw food crumbs and long standing dust/dirt. All the cupboards need emptying and cleaning asap. when we wanted to use the cups, we had to go through them all to find some suitable to use, as a lot of them were stained and even looked mouldy, the tea pot was awful, we then decided to bleach all the pots and cutlery we planned to use before using it. even the kettle needs a good descaling or even a new one. Everything in the kitchen needs inspecting, as there was cracked, broken glasses. The mop head was black and we needed to apply a new one and the hoover should of been emptied ready for us to use. Although the owner said she keeps tightening the kitchen taps, we found it loosened quite a lot during our stay, it should be fixed properly. The large living room lamp was full of dust and cobwebs, yes it is difficult to clean, but it didn't look like it had ever been done. Same with all the lamps in the bedroom and living room. Perhaps due to the location, there were 100's of flies everyday. I understand this can not be helped but it did become annoying. In the bathroom, there was no blind, which wasn't a problem while having a bath, but could be uncomfortable when using the loo. Bigger towels would also of been nice. They were not much bigger than our hair towels and didn't cover your body once bathed. When packing to come home, I always check all drawers and cupboards and even check ones i haven't used just in case my husband put something in them, i pulled open the bottom drawer of the bed side cabinet and found bits/crumbs of tobacco and what looked like green bits which I assumed to be cannabis. Again, my point about a massive deep clean is needed. If the cupboards and drawers were inspected by the owner, we wouldn't of found all these problems. As I work in a school, we have to go away in school holidays and have to pay a lot more money, we paid £500 for a week here and we don't feel it was worth that with all the dirt/problems we found.
