Enjoy the large enclosed south-facing garden which overlooks Oughtershaw Beck with a large patio for barbecues.     Wonderful location, very remote with the added bonus (for us) no mobile phone signal. The only noise is from the sheep and the babbling brook at the bottom of the garden.

    Lovely spacious cottage located in a beautiful setting. The cottage is very well equipped for a relaxing holiday. It is very spacious than it looks from outside. Quiet scenic neighborhood, Wenseleydale Creamery is not far from the cottage. The view from the bed rooms is breath taking. We will definitely return again.

    Three generations of our family (ages 8-75) all enjoyed our week in the Dales. Cottage is in a beautiful location with plenty to do in the surrounding area (a short drive).

    The location is very nice if you want a secluded location and want to walk in the open mountain. The cottage itself is also nice but the management is poor and cleanliness is poor. The entrance is a utility room, was not clean - soon we opened the door a gust of damp air came to our nose. The cottage is very spacious and ideal for a large group or family. Wi-Fi is great. The pieces of furniture are old and worn out - the dining chairs are risky and may break anytime, the fabric of the sofa in the living room is old and not clean, lights are not sufficient in the living room, mattress on the single bed in the children room (third bedroom) is too old and worn out nobody could sleep there and all other mattresses, in general, are worn out, more pillows were needed, the fridge-freezer is too old and it was in condensation all the time, none of the knives is practically usable, the Dishwasher was not clean and it had old food on the draining funnel, overall the cottage was not clean at all, the carpets are old and dirty, the garden is lovely but no sign of caretaking of it like trimming the bushes and cleaning the paved area. There was no milk in the fridge when we arrived. The nearest shop is at Hawes which is 6 miles away so we had to live the first night and first morning without milk. As we had a young child we could not go to shop so late when we arrived.
