Lovely homely place. Perfect for families with someone with mobility issues. Beware of the drive. There is a lump and it dips suddenly. Got caught out when we arrived and had to check the underside of our car.

This is one of the best cottages I have booked for a family get together. The cottage was clean, well equipped and spacious. The location was perfect with a view of the castle and the sea. The local food was excellent and we even had perfect weather. Warm and sunny in North Wales!! Probably because it had been the family home of the owner it felt like home unlike other accommodation that is almost 'hotel like'.

The cottage is in a great central position in North wales. Close to larger towns if needed and other places for visiting. I have been coming to North wales for 20 years and this has been far the most homely place we have stayed. My only criticism if I had to make one is that although the bungalow allows dogs the garden is not secure. This is clearly advertised as not secure but does make having dogs there a bit awkward especially when the dog wants to go out at 2am and the rain is coming down 😁. That said I would still come here again.

Encil Y Mor is very spacious, clean, comfortable and airy. It literally felt like a home from home and the amount of room inside is incredible. It is within easy access to the High Street shops, the railway station, the castle, the beach and the sea, pubs, restaurants, chip shop and ice cream parlour (Cadwaladers). By car these amenities are very close by and if on foot there are shortcut walkways so Encil Y Mor is located in the middle of everything. Surrounding areas such as Pwllheli, Harlech and Porthmadog are not far away and easily reached either by car or public transport, and the Welsh Highland Railway and Ffestiniog Railway that run from Porthmadog are accessed within a very short time from Criccieth. Encil Y Mor will long be remembered as a special accommodation offering a pleasant stay and the proprietors are extremely helpful and welcoming and on hand if needed.

This is a lovely house which I stayed in with my mum, sister and niece. Plenty of room for all of us, especially with two sitting rooms. Nice quiet location, just a couple of minutes walk from the beaches, castle and shops. Highly recommended.

The cottage was lovely and comfortable, the only observations i would make is we could have done with a toilet/bathroom upstairs. The garden was lovely, but as dogs are welcome i feel we should have been informed that it wasn't enclosed.

Very relaxing. Good access to walks and beach. Garden not dog friendly as fencing required. Inside is really good apart from access to loo if sleeping upstairs. Need a loo upstairs. Location good. Off road parking for two cars only.

Fabulous clean home with modern facilities in a great location for both Criccieth and the beach. We have stayed in a few holiday homes in this location and this was the best yet. We hope to return again next year.
