There are tremendous circular cycling routes via Dilham Canal and a wealth of opportunity for walking direct from the doorstep so do remember to pack your walking boots. The woodland is rich with wildlife and bird life so be sure to bring your binoculars. Red deer otters herons a family of swans and kingfishers can all be viewed in their natural habitat.\nEstate Cottage has been tastefully styled boasting character and offering modern day comforts. Formerly home to the head gardener for the 16th century owner of the estate Sir Robert Berney whose portrait hangs proudly above the original fireplace in the living room complete with wood burner. The cart shed offers table tennis for guests enjoyment and a bike store or simply relax in the private wood fired hot tub for 6. The park is also used for wedding venues.\nThe park has links to public footpaths and bridal ways including Weavers Way winding 61 miles through the North Norfolk countryside with Dilham canal and the famous Norfolk Broads within walking distance. One of the best ways to enjoy the estate is on horse back and the equestrian centre by the park entrance is where you can hire a horse for the day or house your own horse with a variety of livery options available. The centre is also registered with Riding for the Disabled Association RDA charity.\nThe market town of North Walsham 5½ miles has a good selection of shops supermarkets bank a weekly market bowling alley leisure centre with swimming pool restaurants and cafés. Worstead church is a superb 14th-century building full of historic and architectural interest. Wroxham the capital of the Norfolk Broads is 6½ miles for daily boat hire and river trips waterside restaurants cafés and shops.     Very clean cottage, slightly smaller than it looks in the pictures. Nice garden- gates on now mean it is enclosed. Didn’t use the hot tub as weather was poor Lovely setting- great for nature and walking Downside are lack of bedding for sofa bed and kitchen equipment- no jug/ large bowl/ not enough pans for a larger family.

    The cottage was very cosy, comfortable, relaxing and homely especially with the log burner going. Lots of snow drops around and within the next few weeks the Lime tree avenue will be a mass of daffodils and then in May lots of bluebells. A lovely place to stay. The building work was going on caused no issues whatsoever

    A beautiful house surrounded by woods on the private estate. Very pretty and peaceful, the perfect little staycation with our dog. Everything was perfect and it felt so warm and cosy with the fires and the hot tub. Also there is a gate now, so the garden is big and secure and our little doggy loved it! Thank you, we look forward to returning!

    Beautiful cottage such luxury throughout but especially the bedrooms and bathrooms. Fantastic for our 2 Labradors as such a large garden and long walks around the beautiful estate. We would recommend.

    The cottage is in a very nice and peaceful location although whether building works on the barn opposite will change that is not clear. Our concerns were about a lack of attention to detail. There were various cracked and chipped plates, mugs and measuring jugs. Our shower head was really dirty so my wife cleaned it. No spare bin liners were left and the hot tub was dirty. This took me a long time to clean and then it takes about 3 hours to fill. It then needs another 2 - 3 hours to heat up. Not sure why it is still being advertised as having 3 ensuites / bathrooms as the latter is across the landing and down 2 stairs. The dining table in the relatively small kitchen didn't really work for us and I think it would be much better off being put in the smaller lounge. No one is obliged to leave a "welcome pack" but this was rather sparse. 1 pint of milk between 6 of us, a few tea bags and a packet of biscuits. As mentioned, the lack of a gate or barrier to stop dogs wandering could be an issue for some, particularly as horses go right past the property. It does have a bit of a "wow" factor but unless the owners take a more active interest, I think it will start to look a bit tatty quite quickly.

    Located in a beautiful quiet location. Always a pleasure leaving and entering Worstead Estate to and from the cottage seeing the Highland cattle, squirrels, herons and fabulous trees. The house had a warm atmosphere, comfortable beds, nice showers, lovely living areas and it was very peaceful as no near neighbours! So much to see and do in the area including great boat trips to see The Broads 15 mins drive away. Highly recommend this property.

    We had a lovely time at this peaceful cottage. It was quiet but not too far to access decent pubs etc, the coast and other attractions. Loved it at dusk in particular watching for the deer, barn owls and bats near the cottage. Quiet estate roads were great for children cycling. Some minor improvements could be made to cooking equipment but that is minor. We loved it.
