This adjoining holiday cottage oozes character and is located in Newton-upon-Rawcliffe, a quiet laid back village that boasts a duck pond and a traditional pub serving excellent food. Newton-upon-Rawcliffe is surrounded by stunning country walks and cycle tracks to suit all ages, ideal for that family get together or celebrating that special occasion. Just
4 miles from the historic market town of Pickering where the cobbled streets are lined with an eclectic mix of shops, inns and tea rooms. Pickering hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the renowned Steam Traction Rally, and fascinating war weekend in October, when the streets are packed with visitors from far and wide dressed in their 1940’s outfits. Visit the art galleries and museums before returning to the comfort of Featherstone Cottage. There is so much to do and see in this area you may find yourself returning again and again. All the family had an excellent stay at Featherstone. loved the ditties and decoration around the place. It was very well presented and clean on arrival. One of my grandchildren was crying when she left as didn’t want to go home. Other two didn’t want to go home either. The children were safe to play in the garden we took a paddling pool and they loved it. Would recommend it.

Featherstone Cottage was the perfect venue to host our family Christmas holiday. The house provided ample space for our group of 10 plus dog and was well stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable week away together. The cottage itself is full of character, with a warm and welcoming decor and well placed to explore the local surrounds. Newton is a cute little village with a great local pub and excellent playground for kids. We would happily recommend Featherstone Cottage to anyone!

Really enjoyed our family gathering at the cottage. Had everything we needed, very cosy, loads of utensils along with cups, pots and pans. Clear instructions for arrival and given phone details of areas to visit. Enjoyed days out at Robin Hoods Bay and Goathland and then journeyed back to relax in a great character cottage.

Ideal property for a reunion. Spacious, well appointed and spotless. We all felt very comfortable and immediately at home. The White Swan being a two minute walk was a bonus!

A very spacious cottage with lots of equipment. It is in a very convenient location for sightseeing, exploring the Moors, seaside towns and pretty villages. The village pub is close by and serves good food. Some of the decor and furnishings are worn and tired. Some of the beds were very hard and unforgiving.
