This is a lovely old farm building converted into a comfortable cottage, making good use of the space without losing the original features. Very well supplied kitchen, simple and modern interior design, good mattress, great shower and all spotlessly clean. The cottage looks out on fields, a vineyard and mature trees. It's the perfect place to switch off and relax and our host was great, welcoming and informative. Highly recommended.
One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Well equipped and maintained. Friendly owner who keeps the cottage lovely and clean.
Lovely cosy well equipped cottage, tastefully furnished and a great base from which to explore the local area. A friendly welcome from the owner and a very tasty welcome pack of local produce on arrival.
Just wonderful. We were made to feel so welcome and at home, with thoughtful, little touches that added to the warmth and comfort. Cannot praise highly enough, and would recommend without a moment’s hesitation. Just perfect from start to finish. Thank you for a magical Christmas we shall always remember with a warm, happy glow.
A lovely place to stay, it was beautifully finished with plenty of space. Everything we needed were in the cottage and we were really able to relax.
Fig Cottage has been the most delightful location for our holiday.
Everything about it is of the highest quality and we really loved the welcome pack too.
Enjoyed our visit from Tigger, who is quite a cuddly cat and enjoys a bit of fussing over.
The location is ideal to explore this part of the country whether you like local markets, exploring towns, castles or wildlife.
Particularly enjoyed the WWII tunels at Dover Castle, the market at Faversham and exploring Canterbury.
Can also recommend The Riverside Inn at Ashford if you are around that way.(The beef, mushroom and Stilton Pie was amazing).

Wonderful cottage, we would definitely consider returning.
Probably the finest self catering property we have had the pleasure to experience. The whole property was of the highest standard and the location was quiet, relaxing and with beautiful surroundings full of old charm.
Fig Cottage is beautiful, it overlooks a Vineyard and stunning grounds. The cottage is tastefully decorated to a very high standard with all the equipment provided that you could wish for. Beautiful walks straight out of the front door over the North Kent Downs and lovely visitor attractions to suit all tastes and ages nearby.
The owner is a lovely friendly Lady who provided us with a lovely welcome pack which included fresh eggs from her rare breed hens. Tigger the cat visited regularly you are welcome to invite him in or not depending if you like cats...we did and he added a bit of home from home for us.
We loved Fig Cottage and would certainly stay again.
Beautiful cottage and location. Will definatly be staying here again.
Had a lovely time
This was my fifth visit to Fig Cottage which I regard as my home in Kent. I lived in Hythe for thirty years and a change in circumstance made it advisable to leave when my husband died in 2014. He is buried at St Mary's church just opposite the cottage and so I can visit him as well as the many friends I have in the area from my own 'home' and welcome them to the cottage of course. Hester Fenwick has become a friend too and driving into Court Lodge Farm is always a pleasure. I think I am the only single visitor but can see why it is so popular with family groups.
We have just returned home from a wonderful week at Fig Cottage. We were made to feel so welcome by the owner . The cottage is beautiful, very clean and all effort has been made to make it feel homely and comfortable. Everything in the cottage is of a good quality and the owners have made sure that you have everything needed to make your stay just right. The location is great and not too far to travel for days out. The cottage has a book on the local history and we would recommend a read of it it to get a feel for the village and the property. If you want to get away from the noise and traffic, listen to the birds while watching the vines grow, and have a peaceful relaxing break, this is just the place.
We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend!
