Just a few miles away, you will find the Terris Novalis, two striking pieces of sculpture relating to the old steel works of the town. Walking enthusiasts will enjoy the many walks around the town of Shitley Bridge, Derwent Resoviour which sits on the edge of the Pennines. Whilst cyclists can take the Coast-to-Coast cycle route, taking in many lovely views. While Durham is 20 minutes away and Newcastle city centre just a 30-minute drive, this is the perfect location for those looking to experience the northern culture.
