Cottage is really nice & has been finished to a high standard, great location and the walled garden makes it super for your dog (garden massive 160 square meters) very private. We had a great time village is a 5 min walk with friendly pubs & shops etc. Our first time in this area and WONT be the last. Great walks all around this area & beach very pleasant also. Would recomend this cottage without hesitation.

A delightful cottage with all comforts provided, lovely fluffy towels, excellent quality bed lined, many additional extras. The two gardens are extensive and my dog city dog was in seventh heaven! The village has an extremely interesting history and was once at the centre of British political events, well worth exploring and much local information available. A lovely twenty minute walk to the seashore and then over to St. Abbs with late breakfast or lunch at the dog friendly and delicious Old School Café. I met a number of friendly locals. The only drawback from my point of view was the cooker which requires heating up for half an hour before anything can be cooked, I failed hopelessly in this endeavour and eventually gave up, there is a microwave which can be used by those who are familiar. Overall a fabulously comfortable cottage which I would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely cottage, very well appointed. Unfortunately for a very cold January stay, the bathroom and bedroom struggled to get really warm , being at the other end of the accommodation from the kitchen which houses the boiler. Lovely situation though, and wonderful walks in easy distance.

We had a weeks winter break at Garden Cottage with our two border collies. The huge walled garden was a real bonus.. totally secure. The local beaches and. coastal pathways are easy to access and there was plenty to choose from. The cottage was beautiful, clean, warm and so cosy on a winters night. All the amenities were perfect. Loved it!! Would definitely rebook.

Cottage was nice, nice location but better cottages at a lower price but just as nice elsewhere. Owner provides very, very little. I.e. A log burner in the property but nothing supplied to get the fire started. We stayed for four days and only two toilet rolls provided. Not a great stay over xmas!
