After working from home throughout lockdown, a change of scenery was so badly needed and this place couldn’t have been better! Chris and Barb are lovely and the lodge itself is just beautiful - we literally lived in the hot tub! For an escape from reality, it’s just perfect. Highly recommend

Absolutely amazing stay the lodge was beautiful and well equipped had everything we needed and more. We are already making plans to return in the summer so we can enjoy the outdoor area a bit more! Chris and Barb are lovely and seems that nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you for a wonderful time!

One of the best lodges we’ve stayed in. Fabulous property; excellent facilities; wonderful location and fantastic hosts (Chris & Barb) - nothing was too much trouble for them. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property and will hopefully return soon.

This is our second visit to the lodge and it never fails to deliver. Chris and Barbara have created the perfect escape here, hot tub and sauna make it so easy to unwind and relax from it all. Can’t recommend it enough. It ticks all the boxes.

We spent our first Christmas away from home here, and it was the best decision we have ever made. Chris & Barb have gone above and beyond to create this perfect little haven, and they are so welcoming! If you haven’t booked yet what are you waiting for!?

Lovely clean lodge, quiet location for relaxing. lovely couple who are willing to help with advice where to eat, walk and buy things. Hot tub and sauna great added bonus.

    out of 10

Well where do I start with this spectacular lodge, this has to be by far the best October break we have ever had (and we have had a few over the years). Firstly the owners, two of the friendliest most helpful people I have ever come across in all my years of renting holiday accommodation, nothing is to much trouble and Chris answered all the questions I asked and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and things to do/places to visit. The lodge really has everything from freesat tv to a slow cooker for mealtimes, everything has been though off and we lived comfortably for a week. The highlight has to be the hut tub and we had many an hour of laughter and fun during the course of the break. The sauna was also a welcome bonus and having a shower and w.c. in this separate area was a brilliant idea. The area is so peaceful but there is plenty to visit in the surrounding area and if its a relaxing stay you require you will certainly get that, views consisted of open fields and hills, sheep, cows and pheasants including white pheasants it really is tranquil. Highlight had to be sitting in the hot tub at night and gazing up at the stars, you forget how many there are if you live in an urban area, there is certainly no light pollution at this lodge! I could go and and on about all the positives here but I would suggest you book and try yourself, you won't be disappointed, we have already booked next October but the bigger lodge next door even though there was plenty of space for 4 in this one.

Great location with lovely views. Very peaceful and relaxing. Amazing lodge, very homely and well equipped. Sauna and hot tub were well used after days out walking and exploring Western Lakes. Chris and Barb were very welcoming and the gifts on arrival were much appreciated. Highly recommend a stay at Knock Murton Lodge.

Brilliant cottage, Chris the owner was fantastic with local information on lakes to visit which proved valuable.. Everything was catered for and the hot tub was lovely.

We had a fantastic stay at Knock Murton Lodge. The lodge was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything you needed to feel like it was home from home. We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival and the prosecco and biscuits were an unexpected surprise. Chris gave us a tour around the lodge and an explanation on how to use the hot tub and sauna. This was our first visit to this part of the Lake District and were blown away by the beautiful scenery and the tranquillity. We would definitely recommend staying at Knock Murton Lodge.

Me and my three children had a lovely stay at Knock Murton lodge. The sauna and jacuzzi was well deserved after long walks. Thank you for the advise on walks and the welcome drink and chocs, much appreciated.

    out of 10

Highly recommend Knock Murton Lodge. The location is beautiful, the lodge is clean, comfortable, well equipped and very private with an incredible outdoor space. Chris and Barb were very kind and thoughtful hosts and have obviously spent a long time making sure both of their lodges are perfect holiday homes - which they are! It’s in a lovely area with plenty to do for adults and families. There’s lots of fantastic walks and nowhere ever felt too over-crowded. We had a truly wonderful week there and would most definitely return!

This lodge is absolutely beautiful and the owners could not do enough for us. Our parents came to join us half way through and Chris and his wife ensured that we had extra bedding and everything else that might be needed. The facilities are absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately we didn’t have the weather to enjoy the outside seating or the bbq. But the hot tub was very well used. We received a welcome pack on arrival which was perfect as we waited for our shopping delivery. The whole lodge was well appointed and made for a really comfortable stay. It was quite far out of the way which was lovely and peaceful, the only draw back to this being it wasn’t within walking distance to the pub although Chris has said he would drive is if he hadn’t been busy himself. All in all a brilliant stay and we definitely will return at some point.
