A wonderful comfortable cottage in a great location.

A charming homely cottage, although not modern (and in need of a new freezer!) has a lovely welcoming feel and is cozy and lovely to return to after a day on Skye. Being on Eilean Ban gives you a feeling of isolation and privacy yet it’s very close to local shops etc. The views are beautiful and we saw basking seals from the private hide and we’re also amazingly lucky to see one of the otters who live on the island; in fact he walked across the lawn in front of the kitchen window. The Isle of Skye is dramatic, beautiful, prehistoric and amazing; a place we will definitely be returning to as there’s so much more for us to explore. Anyone who appreciates nature, stunning views, walking, good seafood and an abundance of wildlife can’t fail to fall in love with Skye. We certainly did ❤️

A lovely place to stay. The cottage is cozy and welcoming with everything you need. The highlight though is the location. Such lovely views out over the water on your own island. Wonderful for wildlife watching. Just perfect.

This cottage is a gem and totally unique! Such a fantastic location and so interesting. First visit and we loved it. So much to see and do. We enjoyed learning about Gavin Maxwell and his writings (great tour of the Long Room, lighthouse, hide etc), watching wildlife (saw otters, seals etc) and the fishing ships going up and down the channel, the views from the cottage (including Kyleakin at night), visiting different parts of Skye (it's a bigger island than we had anticipated), and having a whole island almost to ourselves. Thanks to the Eileen Ban Trust, and the volunteer wardens, for making the cottage available.

Second time here and didn't disappoint stunning views and walks beautiful well equipped cottage, porpoise spotted in the bay first day. Downside more needs to be done to stop trespassers who took up the only 2 parking spaces so we couldn't park and were jumping over the wall.
