Convenient for Chatsworth and Haddon Hall and Alton Towers. There are lovely views over the moors from the living room window and this well equipped holiday bungalow is an ideal base from which to enjoy the splendid walking in the hills.

    Lovely setting. Could have done with a little shop on the village, but that would probably spoil the quaintness off it all.

    Goulday could be a lovely holiday let. Lovely garden, lovely village with great pub. But, is a very 'tired' property. Grubby, needs a good clean and some decorating and updating. Lots of small things like bedside lamps that don't work, no proper instruction about recycling, tv etc ..... and it needs a new shower in ensuite. Property is potentially very good, although on the small side. It sleeps 6 but we were 3 and that was more than enough. There aren't 6 seats in the lounge and the table in the kitchen would not seat 6. We were unlucky that there was an issue with the main shower for first couple of days and no Wi Fi for majority of the week (you need it as no phone signal). Not the same standard as other 3 star cottages we have been to. Just needs a little TLC

    The cottage is located within a quiet, rural village setting about 5 miles from Buxton. The location is first class & the property is very pleasant, well built, detached with parking for one vehicle on the drive, the garage was not accessible. The main caveat is that the presentation inside leaves something to be desired; tired looking, grubby & in need of decorating throughout. The carpets seem to smell of dogs & smoking is unfortunately allowed. The oil heating tank is located on the patio next to the table & only two chairs, it does have some odour. Once revamped internally & decorated properly, the property would be absolutely first class, the current condition does let it down badly.

    Lovely area and views. The bungalow is homely and a perfect size for us. We had a great time. Could do with a little more local knowledge detail but would come again! :-)

    Very warm and cozy cottage we had a lovely week despite poor weather for 3 days. Very quiet and peaceful village beautiful surroundings. Only one negative comment we were not given any instructions (that we could find) regarding recycling or waste collection but we found all instructions regarding cooker,dishwasher etc. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
