    The main portion of a traditional Lakeland house, Greenacres offers stylish and up to the minute facilities in the very heart of romantic Grasmere. That all important parking place is provided to enable you to ‘explore from the door’ one of the many wonderful high or low level walks or simply meander around this beautiful, peaceful village and take in the majesty of the location. Blessed with a good selection of eateries by way of good pub grub and the renowned ‘Jumble Room’, the village also has a superb grocery store stocked with locally produced meats, dairy and other delicious offerings.
    Spacious, comfortable and beautifully styled, Greenacres provides delightful views of the surrounding fells, a sight that has inspired so many over the centuries. Two good bedrooms offer quality mattresses dressed with Egyptian cotton to ensure a restful sleep and the bathroom is fit with a power shower for a refreshing wakeup before a day on the fells. The open plan living space on the first floor is the perfect social space, allowing each of you to join in with preparing dinner and share a glass or two of your favourite tipple whilst taking in some more of the scenery or choose from a variety of films available via the large Smart TV. Beach 25 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurants ¼ mile.

    The house was very well equipped and clean, lots of nice touches.We had a wonderful stay. Just the main bed mattress was too uncomfortable for one of us.Luckily we could use the second bed which was fine.Overall a wonderful house and location.

    Lovely accommodation, so comfortable and cosy. Modern, clean and very well equipped. Perfect location in Grasmere village on a quiet cul de sac. Highly recommended. The only flaw for us was that the beds are two doubles and we would prefer a twin for the kids.

    Excellent Christmas break. Only a couple of slight niggles, nowhere locally to dispose of glass bottles, and the towels weren't of the same quality as the rest of the amenities.

    Wonderful place to stay, warm and well equipped. Great location for walking. Comfortable, one only minor detail is the bed mattresses getting rather hard and needing replacement. Would definitely go back and recommend to others

    Love this cottage, worked well for for my parents with a sitting area, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms on 1 level upstairs with great views. It would have been good to have 4 comfy chairs (instead of 3!) as we spent more time in there. Lots of TV's and a cosy sitting room downstairs. The beds were very comfortable, but my parents didn't think it the king was king size (?) and they disliked the wooden 'ledge' which protruded around the mattress. They had to be very careful not bang their legs. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and a tumble dryer, which was great because the weather was wet! Reversing onto the drive took a little practice.

    Greenacres is in an excellent location for all local amenities, including the National Trust property Allan Bank, and a number of walks straight from the door. The cottage was always nice and warm to return to at the end of each day, after what turned out to be a wet and cold week. It would have been good if the towels had been of a better quality and the provision of oven gloves would have saved me trying to use a towel as a substitute!

    I have stayed in several of your cottages and liked them all, but Greenacres had everything that we required. Close to all the amenities but so quiet on an evening. We brought all the things that over the years have been needed but Greenacres had everything. I cannot thank the owners and yourselves enough and I do hope that we are able to visit it again.

    our holiday was good but the chap under the cottage kept making a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning e.g 6 am in the morning and made alto of noise at night

    As a family of four with two young children, Greenacres was the perfect base for our holiday in the Lakes. Close to all amenities, within walking distance of restaurants and pubs serving up yummy food. Fantastic house, will definitely be booking again for next year!
