Lovely comfortable house in perfect location. So handy for shops, tea rooms and pubs. Extremely peaceful despite being so close to the town. Would definitely return.

A good house for a group or large family. Minor tweaks to the upkeep and it would be excellent.

A fabulous house for a gathering of friends. Fantastic central location within driving distance of the coast and York, but also plenty to do in and around Pickering. Only one small hiccup - the AGA - there's an art to cooking using an Aga, one that we weren't prepared for. It was a challenge that we finally got the hang of but some more instructions would have been helpful. This didn't spoil our stay at all though. There are plenty of cooking vessels, utensils and serving dishes should they be required. The conservatory is a lovely room and we spent a lot of time in there. The bedrooms are all equally lovely and well served by warm and spacious bathrooms. The main lounge is a great space for fun and games while there is a second sitting room for quieter moments or for children to enjoy. Parking is a lucky draw, but we always managed to get a space "near" the house. We would definitely recommend this property.

Brilliant!!! All round. Only one gripe, the aga oven wasnt hot enough on arrival to cook a meal. Oh and the parking is not adequate for if you need spaces for your party.

A fine historic Yorkshire town-house, right in the old centre of Pickering. Fully equipped house and kitchen, all immaculately clean. And Pickering has much more to offer than I would ever have expected.
