As one of a small attractive row of stone-built terraced cottages the location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts being surrounded by enchanting Pennine countryside. At Hardcastle Crags you can walk amongst woodland waterfalls and streams or alternatively the 50-mile circular Calderdale Way passes just metres from the door. In addition there are countless other public footpaths and bridleways available the river path to town being a particularly picturesque stroll.\nOnce inside the cottage has been tastefully and lovingly renovated with wonderful features such as exposed stone being retained. In the master bedroom you will find a romantic French antique bed adorned with Egyptian cotton sheets and in the stylish bathroom a roll-top bath takes pride of place. The farmhouse style kitchen has been finished with a contemporary edge and the cosy living room has both a piano and guitar for entertainment together with Netflix and Sky TV.\nHebden Bridge itself was once named by British Airway’s High Life magazine as ’one of the world’s funkiest towns’. It is a thriving market town boasting a wonderful array of independent shops cafés and bars as well as a 1920’s Art Deco cinema and a live music venue. Hebden Bridge railway station is Grade II listed and has retained its Victorian heritage with regards to style and colours. Here you can take a direct train to the city of Manchester in just 30 minutes and Leeds in around an hour. Other nearby towns and villages include the attractive village of Heptonstall with its two historic pubs and Haworth the renowned home of the Brontë sisters. Finally Hebden Bridge is around an hour from both the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks. Lovely cottage; clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Great location for walks at Hardcastle Crags and a ten minute drive (or downhill walk) into Hebden Bridge for shops, bars, restaurants, cinema... Friendly hosts, lovely neighbours and nice goodies on arrival.

An excellent cottage, despite the directions not being right. Nothing to do with owner though who couldn't have been more helpful. Loved our week's stay just a shame the weather wasn't better. Would certainly return in the future.

We had an excellent time here, the house was immaculate. We arrived late, getting the key was simple and there was loads of convenient local goods left in the kitchen (tea, biscuits, eggs, milk, dog treats) which was a really nice touch. Suzanne was a great host and stopped by the next day to check we had everything we needed. bit of a walk into hebden bridge, but as far as walks go its a nice one.

Had a wonderful week here. The cottage is thoughtfully equipped and tastefully furnished, and is in an idyllic setting. Fantastic walks in the area and a comfortable place to relax at the end of the day. Perfect.

This cottage is a little gem. It’s furnished and decorated to a very high standard with every home comfort. And the views are to die for! If you enjoy walking this Cottage is the perfect base, with Hardcastle Crags a couple of minutes up the road and a riverside walk of less that half an hour into Hebden Bridge. So many walks, such gorgeous scenery. The owners Suzanne and Gary were lovely, really friendly day. All in all this is one of, if not THE, best holiday Cottage we have stayed in.
