The property is in a quiet lane, close to the A30 for easy access to both Mounts Bay/St Michaels Mount and the beautiful coves and beaches of far west Cornwall, as well as being just a few miles from Porthkidney, Carbis Bay, St Ives and Hayle with their beautiful golden sand beaches. St Erth train station is less than a mile away, from here you can pick up the train to Penzance or Truro, or the scenic branch line to St Ives, taking in the turquoise coves and beautiful coastal scenery along the way. St Ives has a whole choice of beaches, including Porthminster, just steps away from the station.
If you don’t want to spend the day on the beach, you can wonder through the pretty cobbled streets of St Ives, with its picturesque harbour and seaside town. St Ives is also well known for its art scene and is home to the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. You can wonder through the boutique shops and whether you’re after a traditional Cornish cream tea, or fine dining, you will be sure to find something suitable for all tastes. The central location means you have easy access to the south and north Cornish coasts, if it’s coastal scenery you’re after, you can pick up the South-West coast path at any point around the Cornish coastline, it offers breath-taking scenery, from rugged coves like Godrevy point with its resident seal colony, to quaint seaside villages and harbours dotted along the dramatic coastline.
St Michaels Mount with its historic castle perched on a tidal island can be found just a few miles away, take a boat over from Marazion, or at low tide you can walk all the way across. There are also many other National Trust properties and sub-tropical garden throughout Cornwall including nearby Godolphin House, Trengwainton Garden in Penzance or Glendurgan Gardens located on the Fal estuary near the Harbour town of Falmouth.
Further afield but still within easy reach and well worth a visit are the famous biomes of the Eden project. With countless stunning beaches to choose from, as well as walking trails, quaint villages, and beautiful countryside all around, you will never be stuck for somewhere new to visit.
