Hen Harrier Lodge is a lovely property decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The bedroom, kitchen area and patio are wonderful with a very comfortable bed. There were two issues we found with the property - the first being Internet/WiFi signals are very ‘hit and miss’ which prevented us from getting full use of both TVs along with our phones, iPad etc and the second is the seating in the lounge area. When looking at the photos of the lounge area the seating appears to be quite adequate, however the yellow chair is much smaller and lower than it looks and is extremely uncomfortable - which only leaves the 2 seater settee. As the weather wasn’t great we spent more time in the lodge and there was nowhere to stretch out and relax and I felt my husband and I spent a lot of time cramped up on the sofa. If the issues outlined above could be rectified we would have no hesitation in returning especially as the owners a great, accommodating people.

What a place, location and hosts. This was our final trip away before having a baby and it surpassed our expectations. Stunning part of the world, amazing facilities to give us the flexibility to eat in the cottage or travel a short distance to neighbouring cities for some good grub and cinema trips. Would definitely recommend it to any couple who wants a luxury weekend or week away from the hussle and bussle of life! You won’t be disappointed

Hen Harrier Lodge is one of, if not the best, holiday property that we have rented in the last 40 years. It has good quality, tasteful furnishings and is very well equipped. It is situated in an extremely picturesque area in close proximity to the Trough of Bowland (a must) , Lancaster, the coast and the Lakes. Further, the welcome 'hamper, was a much appreciated nice touch.
We had absolutely nothing to complain about.

We booked Hen Harrier Lodge for our wedding weekend, Suzanne and Kevin were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure the lodge was decorated beautifully for our special occasion. The place was absolutely spotless and all the items that could possibly be required can be found within. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again in the future

So clean and that's the most important thing!! Always warm. Plenty of space inside.
Would have liked a DVD player. We couldn't get iplayer to work so it was a case of just watching what was on. Not good. The view was more restricted than it looked online.

The quality of the finish, the level of items included, the friendly, careful attention of owners who couldn't have been nicer.
Although we knew it was fitted with one when we booked, smart TVs are quite restrictive as regards what you can and can't watch.

Beautifully appointed and generous welcome pack.

Cottage was beautiful, modern, cosy, everything you would have wanted for a romantic break! Each room was completely spotless and for a very new property it had every little thing you needed. The patio was a perfect sun trap, even this time of year and we were lucky enough to have perfect weather and spent most evenings outside playing cards or board games whilst drinking the odd G&T and the bose speaker was on! The location was remote and peaceful with amazing views and would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet break!
