A gorgeous remote setting, very beautiful scenery.Walks from the door are spectacular.Very comfortable accommodation with lovely views, and everything that you would need. Great local pub within walking distance The caretaker, Emma, was very helpful too Would definitely like to return.

Location is great for walks direct from cottage. Good inn nearby with great food. Beautifull nature at the doorstep. Quiet location.

We felt very privileged to be able to stay in such an amazing home. On the outside the location was perfect, the views were stunning, and on the inside the house was beautifully furnished and very comfortable with every possible implement you required in the kitchen. The bathroom too was furnished to a high spec. We used the open fire for the first two nights when it was a bit chilly which made the whole barn very cosy, with access to a plentiful log basket. As the week warmed up we sat every afternoon in the 'secret garden' surrounded by the perfume of the flowering azaleas and rhododendrons - so pretty at this time of year. We walked every day, straight from the door - there are many different paths to explore, going from sea-level to high level fell walking. This property had everything we were looking for to enable us to have a relaxing holiday, and we just happened to pick a week with fantastic weather! We loved Highpark and will definitely be booking it again - it was very hard to leave.

A gem of a cottage and location - highly recommended for rest and relaxation

Our 10th time at Highpark, we love it here! Great pub just a ten minute walk, a lovely peaceful, dark location for restful sleep and star gazing. New bathroom is amazing, a great shower for after those long fell walks. Highpark has everything you could need, we will be back!

The location of Highpark is excellent with many walks from the door. The views from the property are wonderful. Excellent local pub serving good food in walking distance and small town and supermarket a short drive away. The property has a new bathroom but the kitchen is very dated with only 2 gas rings. But it is does have all the equipment you need even down to sandwich bags.

Lovely accommodation set in a stunning location. Idyllic place to stay if you want peace and quiet.

A beautiful cottage with a wonderful view. The bed , shower and sofa were particularly luxurious, as was the pie at the Kirkstile Inn nearby.
