10 out 10 for this lovely cottage. Everything was perfect and a really nice touch from the owner who left us with a bottle of wine and happy anniversary best wishes. We would definitely stay again.

A beautiful cottage in the middle of farms and fields so you have a wonderful view of rolling hills. Saying this you are close enough to drive to the favourite villages like Matlock, Buxton and Bakewell in less than half an hour each. The cottage itself has everything you need as long as you’re not spending too much time in it and going to go out and enjoy the scenery.

The cottage is very small, ideal for 2 people. Not much room for 4 to sit at the table in the kitchen. The stairs are narrow and steep with the “second” bedroom being open to the stairs and is used to access the main double bedroom. I would not recommend for young children or those with walking difficulties. The parking space would be suitable for small/medium sized cars only as there are stone walls to each side of the parking space.

We had a lovely Easter break at Ivy Cottage! A very quaint and cosy cottage. Ideal location for walking the dog and cycling. Decor is a little dated but fits the character of the cottage! Would visit again! ?

We really enjoyed this cottage. It was clean and very comfortable and cosy and had everything that you needed. The owner had left some groceries which were very welcome. It is a lovely area and we had a great Christmas there. Thank you

Cottage looks great from outside with nice spacious garden. Inside the rooms are smaller and darker than the pictures on the website. Ok for 2 people but suspect it would be tight for 4. Good powerful shower in the nice bathroom but the property is spoilt by the furniture in the small living room and the really uncomfortable bed which has been mentioned on previous reviews. We bought a camping air bed in Bakewell to place on top which helped a bit. The chairs in the living room are old and uncomfortable. It’s a shame as it wouldn’t take much money to rectify these problems and make the place a lot more appealing.
